M H Saboo Siddik College of Engineering was established in the year 1984. The institute was initially started as a trade school later in the year 1944 the institute started it's first technical high school. The college is managed and administrated by the sole trustee Anjuman-i-Islam appointed by the High Court of Bombay with the decree, scheme framed and sanctioned by the court. MHSSCE Mumbai is affiliated to the University of Mumbai & is approved by AICTE.

The institute aims to provide a value-oriented quality technical education to the younger generation in order to fulfil the demand for human resources for the ever-growing engineering industry of our nation. The institute comprises of a well-established building that accommodates workshops, laboratories, classrooms, lecture halls, drawing halls, students' common room, seminar hall, library, reading-rooms, offices. Here are some of the major highlights of the college:

The institute also comprises of a newly constructed building with five floors. The library that resides at the Institute consists of a reference section and reading-rooms for students and staff. A spacious canteen is also present on the campus. MHSSCE provides library facility with more than 37,000 books, 50 national journals, and more than 15 national newspapers. The Library has E-Resources like ASCE, IEEE, IET, SpringerLink, J-Gate, Science Direct, A to Z e-books, A to Z Journals and more.

The college Placement Cell offers placements and training to the students of all branches of B.E. The students should register themselves for placement and the college provides necessary skills and training like soft skills, aptitude tests, mock interviews, personality development.

The placement cell has a good network and relations with many companies and it is in constant touch with the college Alumni who have vast industry experience and contacts. MHSSCE admission is done by applying online for the undergraduate courses in Automobile, Computer Science, Civil, Electronics, Mechanical, Information and Technology, Electronics and Communication, Humanities and Applied Sciences, the total intake capacity for all the branches are 60 seats per branch.
