Placements & Internships : I am in 2nd year so i have not done any internship yet and college will not provide any internship you have to grab it from outside from TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT are main recruiters of the college. Average salary offered here is 4 lakhs per annum. Highest salary is 16 lakhs per annum. And almost 85% student get placed, college placement is good. Alumni is quite good and very helpful.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria and admission procedure of Mckv Institute of engineering are: i. Candidates must have valid WBJEE or JEE (Main) Score. ii. Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Technical Vocational subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical, wherever applicable) in all three subjects as stated above in regular class mode. iii. Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC, PwD) in all the three subjects taken together. iv. Candidates must have passed English in 10+2 examination with at least 30% marks. v. The board of qualifying examination must be recognized either by the Central or State Government. I had given WBJEE entrance exam and score almost 25500 rank and taken admission in B. Tech (IT).

Fees & Scholarships : My total course fees is about 4 lakhs, which goes 1 lakh per year. Scholarship offered according to merit basis. About 40% student get the scholarship. You dont have to take any loan because the course fees is not so high and you can easily get scholarship.

Academics & Faculty : In our daily routine classes start from 9:30 am. It may be lab or theory classes. Professors are very good and helpful. My personal favourite teacher is ASISH BOSE who takes our English communication lab. My overall experience in college is very good. All seniors are helpful.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is 1 hostel for boys outside the campus and 1 hostel for girls which is inside the campus. Hostel fee is about 25000 per semester. There are also PGs available near the college which cost about 3500 per month. Food is quite good in hostel which cost about 40-100 per meal. Classrooms , Labs, Libraries, dining hall is very neat and clean. Wi-Fi is available in college library only.

Clubs & Associations : Rotract club of mckvie is the college club which is 2nd most best club in the Howrah district which performs various functions, association in the college campus. Rotract make our college life best and most reliable. There are various festivals celebrated in the campus, rather I can say all the festival are celebrated in the campus in a very pleasant and joyful manner. UTOPIA is the annual fest of the college. Life in my college is quite good and it will be wonderful if you do extra curricular activities in the college from the rotract.
