NISER Bhubaneswar PhD courses are offered by all the schools of the institute. The doctoral course is offered in two different formats PhD and Integrated PhD. The course duration for PhD course is at least 3 years and can be extended up to 5 years.

Admission to the course is based on the scores of the national examinations such as CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE//JEST/GPAT/DBT/ICMR/JGEEBILS.
