Poona College of Arts, Science, and Commerce admission is open for various UG/ PG/ Ph.D programmes. The college was established by Anjuman Khairul Islam [A.K.I.] in 1970 and affiliated under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education [MSBSHSE] of Government of Maharashtra. Poona college was the first to be selected by University Grants Commission, New Delhi for the introduction of the Computer Maintenance course at the degree level as a part of the UGC program “Vocationalization of First Degree Education” from the academic year 1994 -95. Poona College strength has reached around 6500 students, of which 3500 are in the Senior College. Top-class faculty members and modern infrastructural facilities are available in this institute.

PCASC Pune UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

Students holding three years Diploma Course in any stream or Pharmacy after class 10th of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent are eligible to apply for First Year Admissions. Candidates should have studied English as a compulsory subject in class 12th. Admissions to B.Sc Computer Science, BBA and BCA will be granted purely on merit basis. There are no reserved seats for Poona College students for these courses. Those applying for the course in BBA need to secure a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in class 12th.

Poona College admission offer courses in M.Sc, M.A, and M.Com at the postgraduate level. The selection is affected either by first come first serve basis or merit of last qualifying examination. Applications are invited in online mode in June 2024 and admissions shall take place after the declaration of results of Part 1 in each course.

PCASC Pune PG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

The admission of the students is based on the merit scored by the candidates in the college's entrance test and the previous year qualifying examinations. They should also provide study, Character, and Migration certificates. The fee structure will be as per the college norms.

The college is a recognized research center of Pune University. Those seeking admissions to M.Phil or Ph.D. programs must appear in PET conducted by the Pune University. Admissions will be allotted in the order of merit as per scores obtained by candidates in PET. The shortlisted candidates will be selected for Ph.D admission through personal interviews. 

PCASC Pune Ph.D and M.Phil Admission - Eligibility, Fees, Admission Criteria

A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of the grade is given to candidates belonging to reserved and Differently-Abled categories. Candidates who have completed M.Phil course work with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent shall be eligible to proceed to Ph.D degree in an integrated program. The application form is to be filled duly filled in and submitted along with Rs. 150/-fee via Debit/ Credit Card or Net Banking in online mode or through Bank Challan in offline mode. The PCASC fee structure will be as per the college norms. The step by step application procedure to make an application is explained below:

• Select the student type, appropriate course, Qualifying Examination Board/ University.
• Verify details and submit the form.
• Take the print out of Application Form along with eligibility form (For First-year UG/PG students only).
