Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai was established in the year 1972 at the western suburb Mumbai-Malad. The college was inaugurated by T.K.Tope the then vice-chancellor of Bombay University. The college was with only 450 students and presently it has become one of the premier institutes in the western suburbs.

The college is ISO 9001:2015 certified. In the year 2004, the college has established IQAC following the Accreditation of the college by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). PDL College Admission is done on the basis of merit.
