PIBM Admission 2025: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Process

PIBM admission 2025 for its MBA and PGDM courses will soon begin. Admission to the courses is based on the entrance exams like CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ ATMA. Both these courses are offered in different formats and follow the same directions for admission. 

Important dates related to most of these exams have been announced. The CAT 2024 has been scheduled for November 24, 2024, and XAT 2025 has been scheduled for January 5, 2025.

Based on the scores of these exams, the admission process will move ahead to fill the 240 seats for the PIBM MBA program and 720 seats for the PIBM PGDM. 

The flagship course of PIBM PGDM is AICTE-approved. Similarly, the MBA is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. More details related to the PIBM admission process are given below.

PIBM Admission Dates 2025

PIBM MBA Admission 2025

PIBM MBA is a 2-year post-graduation course in management. PIBM MBA is offered in 3 different subjects- MBA (General), MBA (FinTech), and MBA (Project Management). 

The PIBM MBA-General offers students the following specializations:

PIBM MBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the PIBM MBA are given below:

• Graduation from an accredited university or institution with a minimum of 50% overall in any area.
• Additionally, candidates must have completed English courses at the time of graduation.
• All candidates must have completed a minimum of 15 years of coursework (10+2+3 or 10+2+4).
• Applications are also accepted from students who are in their last year of a bachelor's degree program. Until students provide proof of eligibility in the form of degree certificates and grade records, entrance will be conditional. 

PIBM MBA Selection Process

The selection process for the PIBM MBA is given below:

Step 1: Entrance Exam

• Interested candidates must appear for the aptitude exam CAT/ XAT/ MAT or CMAT. 
• Applicants who do not have valid scores from these exams can apply for the PMAT (PIBM aptitude test)

Step 2: Application Form

• Applicants must fill out the application forms available on the official website of the institute. 
• They must also enter the scores of the entrance exam. 
• If appearing for PMAT, applicants must mention so. 

Step 3: GD-PI

• Shortlisted candidates are called for group discussions and personal interviews. 
• Students will then appear for a written test.

Step 4: Merit list

• Based on the different factors, a final merit list of the students is created. These factors are given below:
  • Aptitude Test

  • Personal Interview
  • Written Test
• Additional weightage will be given to applicants with work experience.

Step 5: Document Verification

• Selected students will be called for document verification and payment of admission fee to block the seat. 

PIBM PGDM Admission 2025

PIBM PGDM is a two-year postgraduate diploma course in Management. The specializations are given in the following table: 

PIBM PGDM Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the PIBM PGDM program are given below:

• Candidates must have finished a 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 Indian formal education program.
• In the 10th, 12th, and graduation courses, a minimum of 50% in total marks is needed.

PIBM PGDM Selection Process

The selection process for the PIBM PGDM is given below:

Step 1: Entrance Exam

• Interested candidates must take the CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT aptitude tests.
• Candidates may apply for the PMAT (PIBM aptitude test) if they do not have valid results from these tests.

Step 2: Application Form

• Candidates must complete the application forms found on the institute's official website.
• Additionally, they have to enter their entrance exam results.
• Applicants must state if they plan to take the PMAT. 

Step 3: GD-PI

• Candidates who make the list are invited to in-person interviews and group discussions.
• Additionally, students will need to show up for a written exam.

Step 4: Merit list

The qualified applicants should register on their official website and submit their applications online. In addition, candidates may provide a demand draft for INR 1000 made payable to the Pune Institute of Business Management for the application form and prospectus. The application form for PIBM is open to all eligible candidates.

PIBM offers reservations for students belonging to the state of Maharashtra only based on the students who fulfil the eligibility criteria as per the norms. the reservation details for different categories of students are given below. The percentage of reservations for PIBM admission is based on the number of seats reserved to be distributed through CAP by DTE Maharashtra.
