About CIFNET Exam 2023
The CIFNET Entrance Exam or CET acts as the entry ticket to the CIFNET (Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical, and Engineering Training), an institute dedicated to marine studies. Set up by the Government of India under the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry and Dairying, CIFNET acts as a prime hub for research and development in the fields of fisheries, nautical, marine, and related engineering training. The institute was established in 1963 and is affiliated to Cochin University of Technology and Science (CUSAT).

Note: The Selected candidates will be paid INR.1500 per month as stipend and on completion of VNC/MFC, Post Intuitional Training will also be offered with a stipend of INR. 20500 pm and onetime Uniform allowance of INR 2500.Application fee: INR. 300 for General/OBC and INR. 150 for SC/ST.

CIFNET Application Form 2023
Admissions in CIFNET for the academic year will be based on the Common Entrance Test which is conducted nationwide. Application forms for Bachelor of Fishery Science (B.FSc), Vessel Navigator Course (VNC), and Marine Fitter Course (MFC) are required to be sent by post.

Please take note of the following points to assure a successful submission and acceptance of the form, else you might be at a loss if you miss on the norms of filling the applications properly.
- Erroneous applications will not be considered, so make sure the date of receiving, credentials, and certificates are properly attached.
- Abide by the common rules of form filling such as putting comma when essential, leaving a block empty in between two words, writing in block letters only.
- Use a black ball pen only,
- Avoid overwriting and scribbling.

CIFNET 2023 Application Payment Method
Please note that the mode of application will be Cash/Demand Draft drawn in favour of Senior Administrative Officer CIFNET, payable at Kochi/through e-payment-CIFNET Account Number (State Bank of India, M.G. Road, Ernakulam): 10626732305, IFSC Code: SBIN0001015. However, the e-receipt (the UTR Number) for making the payment for the application should be enclosed along with the filled application.
CIFNET Total Seats 2023
While the CIFNET Kochi offers all three courses the CIFNET Chennai and Vizag offer only Marine Fitter Course and Vessel Navigation Course. The institute also has some seats reserved for lateral entry and foreign nationals.

CIFNET Eligibility Criteria 2023
Anybody who is younger than age 20 can give the exam, and those who have recently given their exams of 10th and 12th for the academic year of March 2023 are also eligible for the exam. An exemption is given in the Age limit bar for the candidates from reserved communities.

CIFNET Results 2023
The results of the entrance exams for the Marine Fitter Course/Vessel Navigator Course/Bachelor in Fishery Science course will be declared soon after the conduction of exam. It generally takes anywhere near 1.5 to 2 months for the declaration of results. Which is followed by the counselling process. Follow these steps to check your results

CIFNET Counselling 2023
The counselling and admission process will be carried out on the basis of merit list, the institute does not usually release cutoff. The merit list candidate will be contacted or receive formal mail regarding counselling procedure.

The employers for the students are Companies working in the Fishing Industry/Marine Fisheries/Engineering organization.
