IGNOU OPENMAT counselling 2023 dates will be announced soon on the official website, It is completely based on the merit list so the eligible students can attend the counselling. The counselling process for IGNOU OPENMAT exam will take place once the results are declared. The counselling process is held to verify the documents of the candidate and to provide him/her with a seat based on his/her merit.
The counselling will be conducted on weekends, i.e., Saturday & Sunday. It will be conducted according to the schedule decided by the Centre Coordinator. Applicants have to choose their options for all the courses study centre, which is having in that region. There are 6 counselling sessions of 2 hours & 30 minutes duration for each course in face-to-face mode. The selection will be made on the basis of the regional merit in the entrance examination. If any seats remain vacant after first round counselling, then further counselling will be conducted.
The candidates should start preparing for the exam by going through mock tests, sample papers to get to the desired college.

- Admissions: The candidate can take admission to any two sessions for management programs.

IGNOU OPENMAT 2023 Documents Required
Candidates are required to submit the admission form along with the required fee & documents at the concerned regional centre on or before the last date.
The documents are given below:
- Attested Copies of Certificates in support of educational qualification(s).
- Candidates are required to take a printout of this result card.
- Aspirants should paste a recent photograph and signature in the box provided above.
- Hall Ticket should be duly signed by the candidate and invigilator.
- The candidate should mention the category certificate of SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
- The Identity Card should be duly filled up.
- Demand Draft for requisite fee drawn in favor of IGNOU and payable at the city where your Regional Centre is located.
Ways to Apply for IGNOU OPENMAT Counselling Process
Candidates can follow the steps to apply for the IGNOU OPENMAT Counselling process:
- The IGNOU OPENMAT counselling schedule takes place as per the timetable designed by the Coordinator of Study Centre.
- The IGNOU OPENMAT counselling process generally takes place on weekdays, i.e., Saturday and Sunday.
- Only shortlisted candidates on the basis of their merit list prepared and well-arranged as Region wise are only eligible to appear for this procedure.
- This process will be organised at the particular Regional Centre wherever- depending on the option given by the candidate in an entrance examination Form.
- The number of candidates reported for Counselling can be more in number than the total number of seats available to fill the number of seats.
- Counselling Committee consists of Regional Directors/ representatives belonging to concerned Regional Centre/s including two Nursing Experts of the same region for conducting counselling at the specified venue.
- However, in the case of vacant seats left after the occurrence of 1st counselling, a further counselling session may be conducted at the relevant Regional Centres.
- If a candidate in a particular Regional Centre and having high rank does not get admission after allocation of fixed number seats on merit basis in that centre, he/she cannot claim admission in any other Regional Centre where the candidates having comparatively lower rank get admission as seat allotment will be done on the basis of region-wise merit list.
