The IPMAT 2025 registration closed on Apr 1, 2025. The application form was available at iimidr.ac.in. IPMAT exam 2025 will be held on May 12, 2025, in computer-based test mode. The admit card will be released in the first week of May 2025.
The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) conducts the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT 2025) in 36 locations across India. Furthermore, the IPMAT is the first-stage aptitude test based on which potential candidates are screened for admission to IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak. IIM Indore introduced the 5-year integrated program in management in 2011. The management aspirants can take this course after their class 12/HSC or equivalent certificate examination.
About IPMAT
Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, for enrolment into BA (Foundation of Management) + Masters of Business Administration Dual Degree.
IPMAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted every year in the last week of April/the first week of May and stands to enroll 150 domestic applicants. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be called for a personal interview. The final selection of the candidates for admission into the 5-year-long integrated BA+MBA program will be carried out by evaluating the performance of the candidates in the written test and IPMAT Personal Interview.

IPMAT candidates are screened through a rigorous selection procedure, a brief of which is mentioned below.
- An application form evaluates the candidates' proficiency in academics and co-curricular activities.
- The candidate is evaluated based on his/her/ logical reasoning, aptitude, and proficiency in English and Mathematics.
- The candidates shortlisted through the two tests above appear for a Written Ability Test and a Personal Interview to a panel comprising of professors from the college and other institutions. The candidate's level of confidence, communication skills, and general awareness are judged by the interviewers.

IPMAT 2025 Application Form
IPMAT 2025 application form was released on the official website on Feb 14, 2025. The last date for IPMAT 2025 registration was Apr 1, 2025. The application form correction window will be opened in Apr 2025, after the completion of the registration process.
During IPMAT 2025 application, candidates will have to pay the online non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of INR 4,130 (Rupees Four Thousand One Hundred Thirty only, inclusive of GST @18%) / INR 2,065 (Rupees Two Thousand Sixty-Five only, inclusive of GST @18% for SC/ST/PwD category candidates).

Candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy-OBC, SC, ST and PwD categories need to produce a valid caste certificate(s) in support of their reservation category and candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) need to produce a valid document ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate to apply under EWS category. Once submitted, no changes can be made in the application form and one is forced to create a fresh new application.
How to Fill the IPMAT 2025 Application Form?
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the IPMAT application form 2025
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of IIM Indore.
- Step 2: Click on the registration link of IPMAT.
- Step 3: Make a new profile.
- Step 4: Check the mail to know the user ID and password.
- Step 5: Re-login using the newly generated credentials.
- Step 6: Fill in the required details.
- Step 7: Submit the category certificate and upload other documents such as a passport-size photograph and signature.
- Step 8: Review the IPMAT application once again as there will be no correction facility for it.
- Step 9: Make the payment using net banking/ credit card/ debit card.
- Step 10: Submit the IPMAT application form.
- Step 11: Take a print of the IPMAT application for future reference.
IPMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can apply for the exam right after their XII/HSC or equivalent examination. Aspirants who will satisfy the criteria as mentioned below would be eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) of IIM Indore. The required IPMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- IPMAT Age: Candidate must be born on or after August 01, 2001 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given, i.e., born on or after August 01, 1996).
- Academic Pre-requisite: Candidates needs to have completed his/her class 12/HSC or equivalent in 2021, and 2022, or should be appearing in 2025.
- Minimum Score Requirement: The aspiring candidate must have 60% or more in class 10/SSC and class 12/HSC or equivalent examinations (5% relaxation for the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category).
Note 1: Candidates likely to complete class 12/HSC or equivalent by the start of July 2025 are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above. On successfully making it through the selection procedure, the candidates will be offered admission to the program provisionally. During the registration, the selected candidates must produce standard X/SSC and standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination mark sheet (securing minimum marks, as indicated above) along with a school-leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s provisional admission offer will stand cancelled.
Note 2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in classes 10 and 12 would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects in the mark sheet/ grade sheet, irrespective of the board’s regulation. The selected candidates who've got grades or grade points on their certificates should get the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks based on the procedure certified by the board/ competent authority, explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.
Note 3: Applicants pursuing their X and/or XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.
Note 4: IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage marks, and the recognition of the qualifying examination, intake, etc.
IPMAT Exam Pattern 2025
The IPMAT 2025 Exam Pattern will be as follows.
- The Aptitude Test will be divided into three separate sections, namely, Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA), and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).
- The questions will carry a weight of 4 marks each.
- 1 mark for each wrong answer will be deducted, except in the Quantitative Ability (SA) Section. These questions will not carry any negatives owing to their subjective nature.

Applicant will be required to answer in a pre-specified order and it shall remain the same for all other candidates. The final order of the sections is not included in the table above.

Important Instructions for IPMAT 2025 Mock Test
The important instructions related to the IPMAT exam 2025 mock test are as follows.
- The questions asked for the mock test will be objective-type, i.e., multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates will have to select the correct response from the four options provided.
- The mock test is based on the exam pattern for IPMAT 2025. Hence, the same number of questions will be asked from the sections as in the main exam.
- The mock test will take 2 hours (120 minutes), and each correct response will carry 4 marks. One mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.
- After the test is complete, the test scores obtained by the candidate will be displayed on the screen. Please note that the marks scored in the mock test are for reference only. This score is not considered for the selection process for IPMAT 2025.
- Candidates must check their computer and internet connection properly before taking the mock test to avoid the test from stopping abruptly.

IPMAT 2025 Results
IPMAT 2025 result will be released on the official website in Jun 2025, by the IIM Indore. Candidates who will qualify for the exam will be called for the WAT and PI process. Candidates can check their results by logging in using their email ID and date of birth. The qualified candidates will be called for the selection process to provide admission to the 5-year integrated Management program.
The results are usually declared in the form of an IPMAT merit list. A link will be available on the notification window of IPMAT. To check individual IPMAT Marks, candidates must log in with his/her/x credentials, click on the results tab, and then download it as a PDF. Later, take a printout for future reference.
Steps to Check IPMAT Result 2025
- Step 1: Visit the official website of the respective IIM (IIM Indore).
- Step 2: Find the IPMAT result tab on the homepage and click on it.
- Step 3: Use the credentials to login (IPMAT registered email, or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format).
- Step 4: Enter the OTP code/captcha code.
- Step 5: Click on the Get Status tab on the screen.
- Step 6: The IPMAT result will appear on the screen.
- Step 7: Download the IPMAT result and take a printout of it.
IPMAT score will reveal if the candidate is eligible to appear in the WAT and PI rounds.
IPMAT 2025 Cut Off
IPMAT cut off 2025 will be declared post-exams, and the candidates who will clear the cut off will get a call for IPMAT 2025 counselling. A cut off is decided on the following basis:
- The difficulty level of questions with length
- Number of candidates appearing for IPMA.
- Number of seats available
IPMAT Exam Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will take place based on overall performance in the Aptitude Test (AT), Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). A candidate failing to appear in either AT or WAT & PI or both shall be barred from the selection. The selection process is as follows:
Stage 1: Applicants satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria will have to submit their application online as described above.
Stage 2: As per the applications received, candidates who satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria will be eligible for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 34 cities in the country. IIM reserves the right to change or omit a centre from the list.
Stage 3: The pool of candidates eligible for Stage 4 (i.e., shortlisting for Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI)) will be created in this stage. Only the candidates with a positive raw score and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of the Aptitude Test will be considered. The cut off marks for each section of the test will be decided by the admissions committee. The cut-offs will be decided as per the categories of applicants. No individual letter of regret will be sent out to the candidates who fail to clear the test.
Stage 4: A significant number of candidates will be shortlisted for this stage (i.e., from the eligible pool (refer to Stage-3) for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PwD) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS) as mentioned in the table below.

Note: Shortlisted candidates shall appear for WAT & PI at any one of the seven centres, i.e., Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, and Mumbai. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of the Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by the Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of the PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., Stage 5.
Stage 5: Candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category-wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned below, and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly, adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

Important Note
- The Sanctioned intake for IPM 2025 batch (Domestic Applicant) is 150.
- The Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017 came into force from January 31, 2018, and accordingly students who will be enrolled in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore's Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for 2025-28 Batch will be eligible for award of Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees under Dual Degree Programme upon successful completion of IPM.
- Candidates attempting to apply with minor changes of information and/or facts to more than one and/or multiple application will be summarily rejected ,and such candidates will be debarred from the further selection process.
Reservations in IPMAT 2025
As per Government of India requirement, 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC), 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) and 5% for Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD).
As defined in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016), “person with benchmark disability”, means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with a disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. “specified disability” means the disabilities as specified in the schedule of the RPwD Act 2016.

- deaf and hard of hearing
- locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy
- autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness
- multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d)
- other ' specified disabilities' mentioned in ' The Schedule' of the RPwD Act 2016.
To be considered for reservations, the candidates are required to submit valid documents signed by the competent authority to ascertain the eligibility status to apply under the reserved category (NC-OBC/ SC/ ST/ EWSs/ PwD). No subsequent changes will be effective for IPMAT 2025 and any subsequent selection process of IIM Indore.
Candidates belonging to categories for which seats are reserved need to note and read carefully the eligibility requirements before applying. It should be noted that while it is the endeavor of IIM Indore that the candidates belonging to NC-OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD categories join the program in proportions mandated by the law, they have to meet the eligibility criteria and a certain minimum level of performance to be considered for the admission process.
