SNAP Test Pattern 2024: Changes
Compared to 2020, SIU made no significant changes to the SNAP exam pattern in 2022 and 2021. However, before that, Symbiosis made the following substantial alterations to the SNAP paper pattern:
- SNAP has a duration of 60 minutes.
- There are a total of 60 questions.
- There are 15 questions in the General English section.
- There are 20 questions in the Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency sections.
- There are 25 problems in Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
- Each question is worth one mark.
- One-quarter (0.25) of a mark is deducted for each incorrect attempt.
- There is no penalty for questions that are not attempted.
- The SNAP exam has a total of 60 marks.
- Candidates will be given three chances.

Changes introduced last year in the SNAP Exam Pattern
Compared to 2022, SIU made no significant changes to the SNAP test pattern. However, before that, Symbiosis made the following substantial alterations to the SNAP paper pattern:
- The length of the SNAP exam was decreased to one hour. It was two hours in 2021.
- Except for exceptional questions, the number of questions was lowered to 60.
- The exam was held in three sessions on separate dates last year, the same as this year.
Final Merit List Weightage
Candidates will be shortlisted for further admission based on SNAP result 2024 (GE-PI-WAT). Each institute will have its own admissions process for each program. The merit list and waitlist will be posted on the official website of each institute based on the category-wise cutoff.
