The IPMAT 2025 exam pattern is decided by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak collectively. Candidates need to know the exam pattern before taking the exam. IPMAT 2025 will be conducted on May 12, 2025. As per the IPMAT paper pattern, there are three sections, namely Quantitative Aptitude (MCQ) & Quantitative Aptitude (SA), and Verbal Ability.
The IPMAT total marks are 400 marks and are the same for both IIMs. Per the IPMAT marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. IPMAT Marking Scheme
The latest IPMAT marking scheme is listed below.
- Per the latest IPMAT 2025 exam pattern, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer.
- For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- If the candidate leaves a question unanswered, then no mark is deducted.

IPMAT IIM Indore Exam Pattern
Although the IPMAT exam pattern 2025 for both institutes is the same, there are some fundamental differences in the question division and the weightage. The IPMAT total marks for IIM Indore are the same. In addition, the IPMAT marking scheme is the same as mentioned above.

Selection Stage Weightage for IIM Indore
As per the IPMAT exam pattern 2025, IIM Indore has allotted different weightage for each selection stage as compared to IIM Rohtak. There are three stages based on which candidates are awarded seats in both the IIMs as per the IPMAT 2025 exam pattern.
