Kerala SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for educational qualification is the foremost step towards exam application.   • For Non-B.ED subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, and other science subjects, as well as a B.Ed. qualification is not mandatory. 
  • Candidates with a second-class Master's Degree in Communicative English and a B.Ed. degree are eligible. 
  • DLEd/LTTC candidates without a B.Ed. were eligible to apply for SET in July 2025.
  • Universities of Kerala recognize candidates with a B.Ed degree in Hindi from Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha as equivalent, according to Kerala SET Eligibility Criteria 2025.
  • Candidates who have completed their degrees from correspondence courses and open universities are not recognized by Kerala universities and are ineligible.
  • Recognition and equivalency certificates are required for candidates with qualifications from Open Universities or Correspondence Courses outside Kerala.
  • In addition to having completed their Master's Degree, applicants must be in their final year of a B.Ed program or postgraduate program. 
  • However, students must pass their qualifying examination within one year from the date of SET results publication, failing which they will be disqualified.  
  • Applicants for Botany and Zoology can also hold an MSc.Ed degree in Life Science with not less than 50% marks.

Kerala SET Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit

The Kerala SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria age limit has no upper limits. As long as the aspirants meet the eligibility requirements they can can attempt the test as many times as they like.

The minimum age limit to appear for the Kerala SET exam is 17 years. Only candidates who have an equivalent degree can appear for the exam.

No work experience is required to appear for the Kerala SET exam. Fresher candidates can apply for the exam as long as they fulfill the Kerala SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria.

According to the Kerala SET Eligibility criteria 2025, the requirements are different for the general and candidates under the reserved category. Aspirants must check the eligibility criteria for each category before filling out the KSET application form 2025.

General candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade. The minimum marks required for eligibility for SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates are relaxed by 5%. For SC/ST/Differently Abled Candidates, the minimum required marks for the Master’s Degree are relaxed to 45%.

  • Those appearing for the Kerela SET must be a citizen of India, which is a primary requirement. 
  • Applicants should either reside in Kerala or have completed their education there.
