Educational Qualification

Candidate must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognised by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates from reserved categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or it's equivalent.

Candidates who are appearing for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree to be awarded by any of the Universities recognized by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline are also considered eligible for appearing in the exam.

Age Limit

Eligibility Criteria MAH CET MBA states that the minimum age required for the candidate to apply for the exam is 21 years

Nationality The candidate applying for the exam must be an Indian Citizen
NRI Candidates Candidates who apply as NRI/ Foreign National/ Foreign Student/ PIO/ Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries must satisfy the basic educational qualification
Competitive Exams Candidates who have appeared for the CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT are also eligible to apply for All India seats.

Maharashtra State Candidature

The candidate should be an Indian National

The candidate must have passed a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognized university

The candidate must have obtained more than zero scores in MAH CET 2025

All India Candidature/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate

The candidate applying under this category should be an Indian National

They must have passed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognized university

They must have obtained more than zero scores in MAH CET/CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/XAT

NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

Candidates applying under this category should have passed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities

MAH CET MBA Eligibility Criteria Key Points

Candidates planning to appear for the exam must keep the following important instructions related to MAH MBA CET 2025 eligibility in mind.

Aggregate marks mean the total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects on which the class declaration is made in the particular university.

In case the candidates are awarded grades/ CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/ CGPA to the percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/Institution from where they have obtained the Bachelor's Degree.

The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after the decimal.

The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce a “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by the Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates at the time of verification of documents.

Guidelines for Person With Disabilities (PwD)

Candidates who will be appearing for the exam as PwD must adhere to the following guidelines.

The candidate will have to arrange their scribe at their own cost.

The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the same examination. If the violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, the candidature of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled.

Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should indicate the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request may not be favourably entertained.

A person acting as a scribe for one candidate cannot be a scribe for another candidate.

The scribe may be from any academic stream.

Both the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that they did not fulfil any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the online examination.

Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for the compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.

Only candidates registered for compensatory time will be allowed such concessions since compensatory time given to candidates shall be system-based, it shall not be possible for the Competent Authority to allow such time if they are not registered for the same. Candidates not registered for compensatory time shall not be allowed such concessions.

Q: Is MAH CET a requirement for an MBA?

A: If you want to study MBA at any of the Maharashtra colleges, you must first complete the MAH CET. However, several colleges in Maharashtra accept MAH CET MBA test scores and provide MBA and PGDM programs. Additionally, if you want to enter IIM or XLRI Jamshedpur, you cannot take the MAH CET. 

Q: What is the minimum age qualification to apply for the MAH-CET MBA exam?

A: To apply for the MAH-CET MBA exam, candidates must be Indian nationals. Furthermore, the MAH CET MBA exam officials have not established a precise age limit for applicants. However, MAH CET MBA requires a minimum age of 21 years.

A: The State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra) has not imposed a limit on the number of tries for the MAH CET exam. Candidates who failed the MAH CET exam for the current academic year and want to retake it the next year may apply for the admission examination.

A: It is not tough to pass the MAH MBA CET 2024 with 30 days of preparation. Furthermore, the syllabus is comparable to other MBA admission tests such as CMAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA, and so on.
