Amma Vodi Scheme

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has come up with the Amma Vodi scholarship scheme to provide financial assistance to the children below the poverty line and provide them with the necessary aid to complete their education from classes I to XII from all recognised schools and colleges of Andhra Pradesh. INR 15,000 is the maximum Amma Vodi scheme amount given to meritorious students. 

Note: Amma Vodi scholarship application for 2023 still needs to be updated. However, the expected date for 2023 will be declared soon.

Eligibility Criteria

Amma Vodi's scheme eligibility criteria are described in the following points. The interested applicant must carefully gain insight into the eligibility criteria and must fulfil them before applying for the scholarship scheme.

• Applicants must be domiciles of Andhra Pradesh.
• They must hold a white ration card and should belong to the category of BPL household.
• The family must have a valid aadhar card or voter card.
• Students must be studying in classes I to XII in a government school/ junior college.
• Candidates should maintain 75% attendance in school.
• If the student discontinues in between the academic session, they will not receive the scheme's benefits.
• Central and state government employees cannot apply for this scheme.

Rewards

Jagan Amma Vodi scheme, commonly known as Amma Vodi Scheme, supports mothers in helping their children fulfil their children's educational needs. It offers opportunities for students to go to school and gain a proper education. The selected candidates will receive INR 15,000 (irrespective of the number of children), which is directly deposited in their bank accounts in the month of January every year till the student completes their higher secondary education. Students from grades IX to XII can opt for laptops, too, instead of the Amma Vodi scheme amount.

How to Apply for the Amma Vodi Scheme?

The application process for the Amma Vodi scheme can be applied in online and offline modes. The steps are required to be followed if anyone wants to apply for the Jagan Anna Amma Vodi scheme.

Step 1: Candidates must visit the nearest government office to get the Amma Vodi scheme application form. Alternatively, they can visit the official website of the Amma Vodi scheme to apply online or download the application form and get a printout of the same.

Step 2: Fill in the required details in the Amma Vodi scholarship application form.

Step 3: Paste a passport size photograph into the form.

Step 4: Attach all the necessary documents with the application form.

Step 5: After checking the application carefully, you can submit this at the nearest government office, or you may also upload it to the Amma Vodi scheme's official website.
