Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarship is launched by Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (J.B.N.S.T.S.), Kolkata, West Bengal Government, to support girls' higher education. The scholarship scheme is awarded to girls who belong to financially weaker families who cannot afford their higher studies and aids them with necessary educational funds to help them continue with their education.

Eligibility Criteria

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarship in West Bengal is a boon to the needy female students who cannot fund their education to study further. • A Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarship amount of INR 3,000 per month is provided to undergraduate female students for their M.B.B.S./ B.Tech/ B.E. program.
• The eligible candidates will also be entitled to a DST-INSPIRE scholarship worth INR 80,000 per annum until their M.Sc. course.
• The scholars will also receive a fixed book grant of INR 2,000 per annum.
• The eligible students will be automatically permitted to participate in the travel and enrichment program, seminars and colloquia, academic assignments and career counselling, project work, etc.

How to Apply for Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship?

As mentioned above, the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarship 2023 is an initiative by the government of West Bengal to encourage girls to study further and not drop their studies because of the unavailability of funds for education after completing their 12th boards. There are two procedures to apply for this scheme. The steps to apply online and offline are given as underneath.

Online Procedure  

Step 1: The applicants need to download the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarships online application form from the official website.

Step 2: They should fill in the vital details are asked in the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti form.

Step 3: They should check and attach the necessary documents.

Step 4: The candidates have to pay a nominal online application fee.

Step 5: Finally, they can submit the duly filled form.

Note: The application fee for the scholarship scheme is INR 200 plus bank and gateway charges.

Offline Procedure

Step 1: Firstly, the applicants need to download the application form from the official website of the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti scholarship.
