FYWIS Scholarship

FYWIS scholarship 2023 is a scholarship scheme for young women who are inetersted to pursue their career in science. This scholarship program is initiated by L'Oréal India. It aims to financially help female candidates who want to pursue science degree courses. This scholarship is available in Delhi/N.C.R. or Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria

FYWIS scholarship is a scholarship available for only girl students pursuing higher degree courses in the field of science. Candidates can go through the below FYWIS scholarship eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarship.

• Female candidates pursuing courses from recognized institutes of India in medical/ engineering/ biotechnology or any other scientific field can apply for this scholarship.
• Interested students must pass their 12th board examinations from Maharashtra/ Delhi/ N.C.R. during the current academic year.
• Students must score atleast 85% marks in PCB/PCM, or they should score atleast 150 marks out of 200 in C.E.T. examinations in the current year.
• The candidate's age must be less than or equal to 19 years as of March 31st, 2022.
• The annual family income of the candidate's family should be less than INR 4,00,000.
• Students having one year gap after the 12th cannot apply for this scholarship.

Rewards

Candidates who become eligible and apply for this scholarship will be awarded with a maximum FYWIS scholarship amount. Students selected under this scholarship will receive INR 2,50,000 in equal annual installments. The scholarship would be provided on submitting the proof of passing each year.

How to Apply?

Candidates can apply both online and offline mode for the FYWIS scholarship. They can get the FYWIS scholarship application form online by visiting the official portal of the scholarship. The following steps are to apply for Loreal India for Young Women in Science scholarship FYWIS.

Offline Procedure

 Step 1: Candidates can get the application form by visiting the official FYWIS scholarship portal.

 Step 2: Applicants need to take out the physical copy of the form and fill it.

 Step 3: Nothing should be left blank in the application form. If something is not applicable, write "N.A." against that.

 Step 4: The applicant should put the application form in an envelope and mention "SCHOLARSHIP" on the top left-hand corner of the envelope. 

 Step 5: Candidates have to submit physical copies of the required documents along with the application form.

 Step 6: The envelope needs to be posted at the official address provided by the authorities.

Online Procedure

Step 1: Visit the official website of the FYWIS scholarship.

Step 2: Candidates can get the application form by navigating through the official website of this scholarship.

Step 3: Fill in all the details in the application form.

Step 4: Nothing should be left blank in the application form. If something is not applicable, write "N.A." against that.

Step 5: Upload all the necessary documents.

Step 6: Submit it after reviewing your application carefully.

Documents Required

Applicants are required to submit the physical copy of documents along with the application form through the post itself in case they apply offline or they have to upload the documents in case they apply online. Once submitted, documents would not be returned in any circumstances and are to be enclosed in the same envelope itself. Following is the list of FYWIS scholarship documents that must be submitted.

• Self-attested copy of age proof certificates (aadhaar card, birth certificate, etc).
• Self-attested copy of income certificates.
• Class 10th mark sheet attested by school authorities.
• Class 12th mark sheet attested by school authorities or C.E.T. mark sheet.
• A handwritten essay of fewer than 600 words defining yourself, why you are pursuing that course, and how scholarship can help you.
