IIT Indore Department of Computer Science and Engineering Junior Research Fellowship

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Indore offers the IIT Indore Department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship to candidates holding a bachelor's or master's degree. The selected fellows will participate in a research project. The institute will offer the candidates a monthly pay of INR 31,000 and HRA. The last date to apply for the programme will be announced soon.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants should ensure they meet the requirements before applying for the programme. The eligibility criteria to apply for the IIT Indore department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship are as follows: 

• The candidates should have a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering or a master's degree in computer science/ math.
• Those with a UG degree should have a valid GATE score, and the candidates with a master's degree should have obtained a valid score in NET/GATE
• IIT Indore will prefer candidates who know the basics of theoretical computer science, graph theory and linear algebra. 

Rewards

DST funds the research project, and it is called reducing parameterized complexities of matrix determinants and permanents. The selected candidates will participate in the project as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The rewards of the IIT Indore department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship are as follows: 

1. The selected JRF will receive INR 31,000 and HRA.
2. The candidates can also apply for a PhD degree as a full-time scholar at IIT Indore.

Note: The candidates will receive HRA only if they do not get a hostel accomodation. 

How to Apply?

Eligible candidates should prepare a CV and email it to Dr Ranveer Singh, computer science department at IIT Indore. The candidates should ensure the CV includes details of their academics from class X, the year of passing, the name of the colleges, universities or institutions, work experience, details of the GATE/NET exams, etc. They must submit detailed CVs, or the management will reject them.

Selection Process

The selected candidates will get an opportunity to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for one year. However, the management will extend it for up to three years based on their performance. The selection process of the IIT Indore department of computer science and engineering junior research fellowship involves the following stages: 

• The management will scrutinize the CVs and shortlist the candidates.
• They will intimate the shortlisted candidates for an interview through an email.
