JBNSTS Junior Scholarship

JBNSTS is a Junior scholarship program for the students of West Bengal. It is promoted by JBNSTS (Jagadish Chandra Bose National Science Talent Search) for the science students who are currently studying in class 11. There are multiple benefits under this scholarship scheme, and the meritorious deserving candidates will be rewarded with INR 1000 per month.

Eligibility Criteria

The JBNSTS junior scholarship is very beneficial for the brilliant students struggling to continue their higher education because of the unavailability of funds. JBNSTS conducts a scholarship exam for the selection of talented students. The JBNSTS junior scholarship eligibility criteria is summarised below.

• The applicant must have cleared the class 10th board examination with 75% aggregate marks.
• The candidate should have taken admission in class 11th (science stream) currently in a recognised institute of West Bengal.
• The student applying must have opted for at least 3 subjects of science Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science or Mathematics. 

Rewards

To avail of the benefits of the JBNSTS Junior scholarship, an examination is conducted, which is called as JBNSTS Talent Search Examination. The bright, talented students who have cleared this examination can take advantage of this scholarship scheme in the JBNSTS Junior Scholarship amount and various other rewards offered. The multiple benefits of this programme as listed below.

• JBNSTS junior scholarship amount of INR 1,000 per month for 2 years, which is entitled to the students of classes 11th and 12th.
• A book grant worth INR 2,500 per annum is granted to the selected students under the JBNSTS Junior scholarship programme.
• Golden opportunities to attend the seminars and workshops designed for young scholars.

How to Apply for JBNSTS Junior Scholarship?

The JBNSTS Junior scholarship has been announced for the welfare of young talented science students who have taken up a step ahead in science subjects for further studies. There is a specific application process for online and offline submission of the JBNSTS Junior scholarship application form. These processes are simplified in the following steps.

Online Application Procedure 

Step 1: The candidates need to visit the official website of the JBNSTS Junior scholarship  

Step 2: After that, they should click on the 'Apply Now' button given below on the page.

Step 3: Next, they need to fill in the JBNSTS Junior scholarship application form with the required personal and educational information.

Step 4: The applicants can select the centre for examination and upload a photograph and digital signature.

Step 5: Afterwards, they should upload the scanned copies of the mark sheet for secondary or equivalent class level.

Step 6: The interested candidates have to submit an online fee of INR 100 and the application form.

Step 7: Finally, they can submit the duly filled online application form.

Offline application procedure

Step 1: The applicant must download the application form from the JBNSTS Junior scholarship portal.

Step 2: Next, they should fill in the application form with relevant details.

Step 3: The candidates need to attach the necessary documents related to the scholarship, like photographs, mark sheets, bank draft etc. and can mail them to the below-given address.

Documents Required 

JBNSTS Junior scholarship scheme provides financial help to needy students in the science stream. A few vital and legal documents are required for offline and online applications, which are mandatory to present along with a filled application form.
