Assam NEET Merit List 2024: The provisional Assam NEET Merit List 2024 is released by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, based on the candidates performance in the NEET 2024 results. The merit list comprises the name of the candidate, NEET scores, percentile, NEET rank and state merit rank of the applicant qualified in the medical entrance exam.

Assam Merit List 2024 is prepared based on two factors, the applicant should be a resident of Assam and the applicant should secure a minimum NEET qualifying percentile. The qualified candidates will be called for the Assam NEET Counselling 2024 for admission to MBBS/BDS under 85% of state quota seats, and the rest 15% is reserved for applicants who come under the AIQ seat category.

Assam NEET Merit List 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In order to resolve the situation where two or more applicants obtain the same score in NEET 2024, the concerned authorities follow an inter-subject merit mechanism given below:

• Candidates having higher scores in NEET in the Biology section will be provided with a better rank in the Assam Merit list
• If the tie situation still remains the same then, the candidates having higher scores in Chemistry will be considered for the Assam Merit list.
• If the tie still continues, then the candidate with fewer attempted incorrect answers in the test will be considered
• Lastly, if the tie persists, then the older candidate shall get preference in the merit list.

What After Assam NEET Merit List 2024?

After the Assam NEET merit list 2024 is announced by the exam authority, all the shortlisted candidates will have to register for the counselling session process by filling out the application form from the official website.
