Assam MBBS/BDS 2024 Counselling Process
As mentioned earlier, the Assam NEET 2024 counselling process takes place in two stages. Here are some of the key aspects of the DME Assam MBBS/BDS counselling process 2024:
- One must clear the NEET exam 2024 to be eligible for Assam NEET counselling 2024.
- DME, Assam, will release a merit list that will include the names of the selected applicants based on their NEET 2024 marks. Such applicants will be eligible to proceed with the counselling process.
- Applicants need to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500. There is no difference in the fee between the categories of applicants.
- The seats will be allotted to applicants based on their NEET scorecards, preferences, and seat availability.
- Candidates will have to report to the designated college in person along with the required documents at the assigned venue on the specified date and time.

Assam NEET 2024 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfil certain eligibility criteria in order to participate in the Assam NEET counselling 2024. Those who do not meet the criteria listed below will be disqualified from the procedure.
- The applicant should be a resident of Assam.
- The applicant’s parents must have resided in Assam for a minimum time period of 20 years.
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in biology, physics, and chemistry. There is a 10% relaxation with respect to marks required for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
- The applicant must have qualified for the NEET 2024 examination.
- The candidate should fall in the age bracket of 17-24 years. Note that there is 3-year age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
- The applicant must have pursued his studies from classes 6-10 in Assam.
