JEE Main 2024: The JEE Main 2024 admit card for Session 2 and the exam city intimation slip for the exam is expected to be released shortly.
The JEE Main 2024 registrations began on Feb 2, 2024, and the last application date was extended to Mar 4, 2024 and earlier, it was Mar 2, 2024. JEE Main 2024 exam dates for session 2 have been revised, the exam will be held between Apr 4 to 15, 2024. The exam shall be conducted in two shifts: Shift 1 will be scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Shift 2 will be scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern
Applicants interested in answering the JEE Mains 2024 exam need to know that there are 2 papers for which students can sit.
- Paper-1 - is for all students who want to pursue a B.Tech or B.E at IITs/NITs, Centrally Supported Technical Institutions and other government universities supported by the state governments of India.
- Paper-2 - is given by those students who want to pursue B.Arch and B.planning courses.

JEE Main 2024 Examination Scheme
The JEE Main 2024 exam paper structure will have 3 main subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The JEE Main 2024 will have two papers, Paper-1 and Paper- 2.
- Paper-1 - is for all students who want to pursue a B.Tech or B.E at IITs/NITs, Centrally Supported Technical Institutions and other government universities supported by the state governments of India.
- Paper-2 - is given by those students who want to pursue B.Arch and B.planning courses.
The scores of students in their JEE Mains 2024 will decide whether a student is eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2024. The JEE Advanced 2024 will allow students to get admitted to the top IITs in India.

In the JEE Main 2024 examination, students who want to pursue a career in B.Arch or B. Planning will have to give Paper -2. This Paper is divided into 2 parts - Paper A and Paper B. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Candidates who will appear for Paper 2A and 2B, i.e. both B.Arch and B.Plan, will be given 3.5 hours ( Non-PWD Candidates) and 4 hours (PWD Candidates).

JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Students should read the eligibility criteria carefully to meet all the JEE Main 2024 exam requirements.
- There is no age limit for candidates. Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent examinations from any recognised Central/State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education or Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024 are allowed to sit for JEE Main 2024 exam.
- Students who have studied under the National Institute of Open Schooling must pass the senior secondary examination with the 5 best subjects, which include (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
- For students wanting to take Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), the candidates should clear the senior secondary examination with subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subjects.
- For students who want to sit for Paper 2A and Paper 2B (B.Arch / B. Planning), those applicants need to clear the senior secondary examination with subjects including Language, Physics, Mathematics (mandatory), Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject.
- Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or comparable) examination outside of India or who have not taken the Class 12 (or equivalent) test from any recognised Central/State Board of India should present a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stating that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.

JEE Main 2024 Application Form
Students are requested to download and go through the information bulletin before applying. NTA released an important notice for Tamil Nadu students on Nov 17, 2023; in 2021, no exams were conducted for Class 10 students; hence, no marks were given.
Students who select "2021" as their passing year will not be required to fill in the details of the result mode or Marks/CGPA. The following steps must be followed to complete the JEE Main 2024 exam application form.
- Go to the official website of JEE Main 2024.
- Students must register for the Online Application Form through the official website.
- After logging in to the application form, students must fill out the complete application form, including personal details, apply for the Paper, choose the Examination Cities, provide the details of Educational Qualifications, and upload the images and documents.
- Upload Scanned Images of the Candidate's Photograph, Signature, Address Proof (Present and Permanent), Category Certificate (if applicable), and PwD Certificate (wherever applicable).
- After completing the application form, students must pay online fees to successfully register for the JEE Mains 2024 exam.
- After successfully registering, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Students are requested to download a copy of the application form for future reference.
Note: Only after a candidate's application has been successfully processed and the required application fee has been received from them will their candidature be officially recognised.

The NTA will release the JEE Main cutoff 2024 on their official website. The cut-off will be divided into a qualifying and an admission cut-off. JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority India) will announce the admission cut-off for NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
