CSIR NET General Aptitude Syllabus units are Numerical Ability, General Science, Reasoning and Data Interpretation and Graphical Analysis. The total weightage for Part A in CSIR NET exam is 30 marks.

CSIR NET General Aptitude syllabus contains three units Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Graphical Analysis. There are 20 questions in this section for 2 marks each, and the candidates must attempt at least 15 questions.
The CSIR NET Part A or General Aptitude section is common and mandatory for all the CSIR NET subjects. The syllabus covers topics such as Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Ratio, Proportion and Variation, Partnership Allegation and Mixture, Trigonometry, Calendar and Clock, Ranking and Arrangement, etc.

The General Aptitude section of CSIR NET entrance exam is also known as “Part A” or “Section A”. This section is mandatory for all the subjects in CSIR NET. The other two sections for courses are known as Part B and Part C Council of Scientific & Industrial Research- CSIR NET General Aptitude Syllabus 2024 is set under the guidance of the conducting body of CSIR, which is NTA (National Testing Agency).
