CSIR NET 2024 Eligibility Criteria Highlights
Before applying for CSIR NET 2024, candidates should check the CSIR NET eligibility criteria 2024 for the exam set by the NTA. All the details of the eligibility criteria are described below. If a person has satisfied all the mentioned criteria then he or she may go forward with the registration and the application process for CSIR NET 2024.
After meeting CSIR NET 2024 eligibility criteria and completing the registration and application process, the aspiring candidates, may read CSIR Syllabus and begin their preparation for CSIR NET 2024. CSIR NET JRF eligibility criteria will differ from that of Lectureship and candidates needs to pay special attention to the post they are interested in.
Note: Candidates possessing only Bachelor’s degree to meet CSIR NET eligibility criteria 2024 for applying only for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS).

CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2024 Parameters
All candidates must meet all CSIR NET eligibility criteria 2024 to apply for the exam; the eligibility criteria are divided into three factors, which can be given below.

CSIR NET 2024 Nationality
All candidates must be a Citizen of India to apply for the CSIR NET exam.
CSIR NET 2024 Educational Qualification
CSIR NET eligibility criteria for 2024 are as follows.
- The candidates must have passed BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS with minimum 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.
- The candidates should have passed B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in the Integrated MS-Ph.D. program with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates.
- Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of the Application Form, are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of the award.
- Specification of degrees (whether Bachelor’s or Master’s) as notified by the UGC in its Gazette Notification No. F. 5-1/2013 (CPP-II) dated 5th July 2014, and as amended from time to time, shall apply.
- The eligibility for the Lectureship of NET-qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC. Ph.D.holders who have passed a Master’s Degree before 19th September 1992 with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for a Lectureship only.
