- Candidates should avoid wearing jewelry such as rings, earrings, lockets, pendants, bracelets, and chains.
- Aspirants are not permitted to wear any scarf, dupatta, stole, etc.
- Hair accessories such as clips, bands, zips, and extensions are not permitted.
- Only sandals and slippers are permitted without socks. No heels or fancy shoes are allowed.
- Pocketless and simple jeans or single-pocket jeans are only allowed for female candidates.

CSIR NET Dress Code for Male
The CSIR NET dress code 2024 for males is different from the female dress code. The dress code is set by NTA. Here is the mentioned CSIR NET dressing rule for male aspirants:
- Candidates are only allowed to wear T-shirts or half-sleeved shirts.
- Candidates are not allowed to wear any metal rings, earrings, bracelets, chains, etc.
- Candidates can wear only simple regular pants lower, and track pants, jeans and cargo pants are not permissible.
- Candidates are allowed to wear simple sandals and slippers.
- Aspirants can not wear any muffler, tie, or handkerchief.

Applicants who are going to appear for the CSIR NET 2024 must follow the guidelines set by NTA apart from the CSIR NET dress code 2024. If aspirants carry any prohibited item inside the examination hall, then the exam will be cancelled for such students.
