CSIR NET Exam Day Guidelines 2024 include every necessary step that needs to be noted down before appearing for the CSIR NIT examination 2024. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted every year to determine the candidate’s eligibility for the role of Assistant Professor/Lecturer and Junior Research Fellowship program. 

Candidates who have passed their 12th class with a science background will be able to participate in CSIR NET Exam 2024. The CSIR NET preparation 2024 requires extensive patience to avoid any chances of mistakes on the main examination day. However, students must note that the re-scheduled CSIR NET exam date 2024 is Jul 25 - 27, 2024. The exam is being conducted in online (computer-based) mode on Jul 26, 2024 for the Life Science paper.

The exam for CSIR NET is scheduled in two shifts, shift 1 is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and shift 2 is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Applicants must visit their allotted centres within the reporting time scheduled. Students are advised to report their allotted exam centres within the given timeline. Further, they must bring their admit card along with any valid government ID proof, such as, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, etc, else will not be permitted to appear for the exam.

• Candidates need to carry a Printed copy of the CSIR NET admit card 2024 downloaded from the official website.
• They need to carry One passport-size photograph for the attendance sheet.
• Candidates are advised to carry Original ID proof or government-issued ID Proof like a  School identity card, PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhar Card etc.
• They also need to carry a Marriage certificate/Divorce/ Official legal name document in case the candidate’s name was changed before.
• Candidates having PwD reservation need to carry a PwD certificate if applicable.

Mistakes Not to Make on the CSIR NET Exam Day 2024

All the appearing candidates need to follow the instructions to avoid any chances of exam cancellation on CSIR NET Exam Day 2024.

1. Be Punctual: The candidates are instructed to reach the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the start of the exam. Candidates can relax and take the exam stress-free. Usually, CSIR NET Exam Centres 2024 don’t allow late entries so it is important to avoid these issues at the last moment.
2. Keep Documents Ready: Hard copies of all the important documents must be brought in hard copy format to the examination centre. Also, candidates need to bring identification documents like PAN cards, Voter IDs, Aadhar cards, and others along with admit cards. Candidates must bring a passport-size photograph with them. The photograph must be the same as submitted while filling out the examination form.
3. Don’t lose patience: The major mistake is candidates lose patience during the examination as it can hamper the exam result. Never hurry while reading the CSIR NET Question paper 2024, carefully read every line and add responses accordingly.

6. Understand Time Duration: There is a time limit for each section in the question paper. Candidates will get 20 minutes for each section to solve 100 questions total in prelims. CSIR NET Exam 2024 Banned Items

A few items listed are prohibited from the CSIR NET Examination Hall 2024. Candidates, if found with any of these items will be directed to the cancellation of the exams.

• Gadgets like Smartwatches, Mobile phones, and calculators are strictly prohibited to take in the examination hall.
• Candidates can not carry books, paper pieces, or any kind of notes in the exam hall.
• Jackets, Bangles, Bracelets, and belts are also not allowed in the examination hall.
• Any snackable items such as tea, coffee, and other food items are prohibited in the examination hall. 
• Personal belongings like purses, handbags, earphones, and microphones are not allowed in the examination hall.

CSIR NET 2024 Exam Day Instructions

• If a candidate wants to do rough work, the centre will provide candidates with A4 sizes. Invigilators will keep the sheets of the candidate’s examination.
• Each seating area and examination hall number will be mentioned for the candidates.
• Candidates need to sanitise their hands properly before proceeding with the examination.
