RVCE Direct Admission 2024: Process and Courses Offered

RVCE direct admission is possible through the management quota on a merit basis. 25% of seats in this quota are reserved for students for various B.E. and MCA courses.

RVCE direct admission 2024 for various programs is underway. RVCE is known for offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees in Engineering and Technology, including B.E, MTech, and MCA programs.

Out of the total seats, 45% are filled through the common admission test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), 30% through the common entrance test conducted by the Private Management Association (COMEDK), and 25% by management quota, all on merit.

RV College of Engineering is a co-educational institute in Bangalore, Karnataka, which is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. It was established in 1963. RVCE Direct Admission Eligibility Criteria

RVCE direct admission 2024 is possible for candidates through the management quota on a merit basis. However, it is first important that they meet the eligibility criteria. They must also take the qualifying entrance exam and secure a rank to proceed further with the admission process.

This applies to both the B.E. and MCA programs. However, the criteria differ slightly for the two. Let's explore the eligibility conditions for RVCE direct admission 2024.

Eligibility criteria for B.E. at RV College of Engineering

Candidates should have scored separately at least 70% in the 10th grade in Science and Maths Subjects.
Candidates should have scored separately at least 65% in the 11th grade in Physics and Maths Subjects.
Candidates should have scored separately at least 60% in the 12th grade in Physics and Maths Subjects.
The candidate needs to compulsorily appear and rank in the KEA/ COMEDK/ JEE- MAINS 2024 exam.
In case the candidate has studied in any other board apart from the Indian board, they need to apply compulsorily and get equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) from New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA at RV College of Engineering

Candidates should have a BCA/ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks overall.

OR,

Candidates should have a B. Sc/ BCom./ B.A. degree with mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 and graduation level with at least 50% marks overall. Candidates should have also taken additional bridge courses as per the University norms.
The required mark for SC/ST candidates and Category-1 of Karnataka is 45% in the qualifying examination.
Candidates have to compulsorily take the PGCET/ KMET 2024 exam and obtain a valid rank.

Procedure to Get RVCE Direct Admission

The procedure for RVCE Direct Admission 2024 is pretty straightforward.

Candidates must first send a request to The Hon. Secretary, RSST, Bangalore to the email id- rv@rvei.edu.in with CC to rvcemqadmissions@rvce.edu.in, mentioning the course they wish to enroll in at RV College of Engineering
Candidates applying for the MCA program must send an email to mca_admission@rvce.edu.in.
Candidates must make sure to attach scanned copies of their 10th, 11th & 12th mark sheets, (graduation mark sheets for the MCA program) along with their mobile number. Be sure to enter a valid email address as all further communication with the management office will take place through this.
After receiving the email request and the documents the authorities will verify and contact you with further details.
If the candidate is accepted they have to make a payment either through a Demand Draft or through online payment. The details for the same will be provided in the email.
