Gujarat University follows a centralized common admissions procedure to enroll students in the B.Ed program in associated colleges. The key details regarding the Gujarat University B.Ed selection criteria are shown below:

A merit-based common admission procedure is followed to allot seats to applicants
The merit list is created based on the graduation marks of UG-qualified students. The merit list considers the combined internal and external percentages at the UG level.
The admission merit of PG-qualified students is determined by the formula:

Admission Merit Score: The total percentage of marks obtained at the UG level+ 20% of the total percentage of marks obtained at the PG level

Students who have pursued sociology and philosophy majors will be allowed to enroll in social science courses. Admission to these students will be granted by the college maintaining a 6:1 ratio.
The primary subject is accepted at the UG or PG level. The college may then switch the seats for another subject if any openings are available, provided the number of seats in that subject does not exceed 25.
The first subject is assigned at the time of university admission and the second subject is chosen by the college. The college’s decision is considered final in this situation.
A both UG and PG levels, subjects can be chosen in accordance with the major subject shown on the mark sheet.
