JEE Main paper 2 syllabus 2024 consists of two papers: Paper A and B. Mathematics and aptitude syllabus are the same for both papers, but for Paper A, candidates need to attempt Drawing, and for Paper B, candidates need to solve planning paper.

JEE Main paper 2 syllabus 2024 is divided into papers A and B. Paper A is concentrated in B.Arch and Paper B in B.Planning. The syllabus is based on Mathematics, Aptitude, Planning, and Drawing skills.
Joint Entrance Exams-Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to undergraduate courses at IITs (Indian Institute of Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology) and other technical institutions across the country.
The candidates can apply for the JEE Main exam for 3 consecutive years. It is also considered a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which helps the candidates get admission into the IITs.
JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2024
The JEE Main paper 2 syllabus 2024 is almost the same for B.Arch and B.Plan, except for a few changes. Mathematics and aptitude remain the same for both papers. In paper A, candidates are expected to attempt Drawing questions, whereas, in paper B, candidates need to attempt planning questions.

- Analytical Reasoning (Visual, Numerical and Verbal ability).
- Mental ability
- Visualisation of three-dimensional objects using two-dimensional drawings.
- Visualisation of different sides of three-dimensional objects.
- Build environment, and textures and objects related to Architecture
Unit II
- Three dimensional- perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportions of objects, building forms and elements
- Colour texture harmony and contrast Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.
- Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, subtraction rotation, development of surfaces and volumes.
- Generation of Plan, elevations and 3D views of objects.
- Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Part III - Drawing
JEE Main paper 2 syllabus 2024 for drawing which is part of architecture (Paper 2A) is as follows:
- Sketching of activities and scenes from the memory of a landscape (jungles, plants, riverfronts, trees, etc), rural life and urbanscape (festivals, market, monuments, public space, recreational spaces, street scenes, etc.).
- Drawing and design of abstract or geometrical patterns and shapes in pencil.
- Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of building forms and elements, colour texture, contrast, harmony, and objects.
- Transformation of forms which include 2D and 3D union, development of volumes and surfaces, rotation subtraction, elevations and generation of a plan for a three-dimensional view of objects. With the shapes and forms that are given, creating two and three-dimensional compositions.

JEE Main paper 2 syllabus 2024 which is for candidates attempting paper 2B for is as follows:
UNIT-1 General Awarness
- General knowledge questions and knowledge about prominent cities, development issues, government programmes etc.
UNIT-2 Social Sciences
- The idea of nationalism, nationalism in India, pre-modern world, 19th-century global economy, colonialism and colonial cities, industrialisation, resources and development, types of resources, agriculture, water, mineral resources, industries, national economy.
- Human Settlements Power-sharing, federalism, political parties, democracy, the constitution of India.
- Economic development- economic sectors, globalisation, the concept of development, poverty.
- Population structure, social exclusion and inequality, urbanisation, rural development, colonial cities
UNIT-3 Thinking Skills
- Comprehension (unseen passage)
- Map reading, skills, scale, distance, direction, area etc.
- Critical reasoning
- Understanding of charts, graphs, and tables.
- Basic concepts of statistics and quantitative reasoning.

JEE Mains Exam Format
JEE Main includes 2 papers, for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses, the candidate should write Paper-1 while for admission to B.Arch/B. Plan courses, the candidates should write the Paper-2. The paper for B.Arch and B.Plan were combined together but this format has changed. There will be a separate paper for each course.
