Eligibility Criteria for Design Courses at IGNOU

Candidates for the certificate course in Fashion Design offered by IGNOU must verify their eligibility criteria before completing the application form. It is also important to note that only those fulfilling the eligibility requirements will be entitled to admission. Here are the IGNOU design course eligibility criteria:

1. Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education or class 12th.
2. The candidate doesn't need to have cleared class 12th through the regular mode; students qualifying 12th through distance education may also apply.
3. The candidate must have scored minimum passing marks in all the subjects and be from class 10+2.
4. Students from any discipline and streams can get into the course.

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Course in Design at IGNOU:

1. Candidate must have passed their 10+2 from a recognized board or pass out students of CFDE programme from IGNOU or equivalent courses/programme from Government recognized institution.
2. The candidate doesn't need to have cleared class 12th through the regular mode; students qualifying 12th through distance education may also apply.

Application Process for Design Courses at IGNOU

A stepwise guide for the IGNOU design courses online application is mentioned below. The online application for admissions must be filled out and submitted through IGNOU's official portal at IGNOUadmission.samarth.edu.in:

1. Go to the official IGNOU website to get enrolled online.
2. The registration process would involve providing the candidate's name, email ID, and mobile number. After registering successfully, the username and password will be sent via SMS and email.
3. Candidates must log in using the username and password sent to their mobile number or email address.
4. By entering the required information fill up the form.
5. Candidates must attach a scanned copy of their passport-sized photograph and signature.
6. Attested scanned copies of important documents must be uploaded which are relevant to the candidate, such as academic certificates.
7. Read the instructions and declaration carefully. Click in the checkbox to certify that they agree with them.
8. Thereafter, verify all entries, and make changes if required.
9. Pay the course fee through credit/debit card or net banking.
10. Candidates will receive SMS and email notifications confirming the payment.
11. Once they are done with the above steps, they will be required to click on the 'Next' button to preview the final form.
12. On submitting the application, they will be able to download it for a record. Kindly take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Once the application form is submitted, the authorities will check for eligibility criteria. If everything is okay, candidates will be sent an admission confirmation to your registered email id. However, in case of any discrepancies found in the submitted IGNOU design courses application, such discrepancies will also be communicated to them.

Once the application is processed successfully, further information regarding confirmation of admission, assignment of a study centre, and other details concerning induction shall be duly sent by the university in due course.
