MCC NEET PG 2024: Counselling, Seat Allotment Result

MCC NEET PG 2024 will be organised and managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC will conduct NEET PG special stray vacancy round counselling session, and registrations will begin tentatively in August 2024.

The exam will be held on June 23, 2024, and on July 15, 2024 is when the results will be made public. The counseling will start on August 5, 2024 and to take part in NEET PG 2024 seat allocation, candidates must register on the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) official website.

It should be noted that MCC handles counseling for 50% of the All India Quota seats, with the remaining 50% being handled by the appropriate state counseling bodies. For the purpose of allocating seats at central universities, 50% of AIQ seats, and 50% of State quota seats, MCC holds four rounds of counseling in total.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling

Every year MCC conducts counselling for the NEET PG examination. Candidates must keep in mind that it is mandatory to clear the NEET PG 2024 to take part in the counselling process. They conduct the counselling process in four rounds.

• Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU)
• ESIC colleges
• 50% of State Quota seats
• 50% All India Quota seats

The MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 dates will be notified by MCC on the official website. The candidates can then start their counselling process by checking the links that will be available on the official website.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling Process

The MCC NEET PG counselling is conducted online. It starts with the online registration for the counselling process and ends with reporting at the allocated institute/college along with all the documents.

The counselling process of NEET PG includes the following stages.

• Step 1: Registration
• Step 2: Choice Filling
• Step 3: Seat Allotment List
• Step 4: Reporting to the Institute/College
• Step 5: Seat Matrix as issued by the MCC

Candidates must follow the following steps for securing admission to various post-graduate courses.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Registration

To participate in the counselling process of NEET PG, candidates must register at the official website of MCC. Before the opening of each counselling round, candidates must register. These are the following steps that the aspirants must follow for MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling.

• Visit the official website of MCC- mcc.nic.in
• Tap on "PG Medical Counselling"
• Aspirants must register using a valid mobile number & email ID.
• They must remember the login credentials.
• To fill out the application form, they must log in again.
• Aspirants should provide their institutional academic details.
• They must ensure that all the details are correct before the final submission.

Candidates can pay the registration fee for the MCC NEET PG online through Net banking/Credit card/Debit card. The registration fees for the counselling process is of two types- refundable & non-refundable.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Choice Filling

Based on their preferences, aspirants will have to fill out the course and college after the completion of the registration process of the MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling. There is no limitation for the choice filling.

However, it is advised that to get the desired college & courses, the candidates must lock their choices. The authority will automatically secure the preferences, in case the candidates failed to do so. In case the candidates do not register and fill their preferences, the system, will not assign any seats for them.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Seat Allotment

MCC release the seats available at the respective colleges after the choice-locking process. They will declare the seat allotments along with the allotment number at the end of each round of counselling.

Aspirants can check the details regarding their allocation and can download the allotment letter as issued by the MCC. They must take the printout of the allotment letter for further admission process.

How to Download the Seat Allotment Letter for the MCC NEET PG Counselling?

Candidates should follow the following process to download the allotment letter for any round of the counselling. For example, if the candidates want to download the allotment letter for the round 1st, they can follow these steps:

• Visit the official website of MCC- mcc.nic.in
• Click on the link “Allotment Letter Round 1”.
• Aspirants must select their stream, counselling round number, and enter their roll number.
• Fill in the captcha code displayed on the screen.
• The system will display the seat allotment letter.
• Aspirants must check all the details, and download the seat allotment letter.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Allotment List

MCC releases the seat allotment list of the NEET PG Counselling and will allocate the seats based on the choice filled by the candidates & on their All India Ranks. It will publish the NEET PG Seat Allotment letter in a PDF format on its official website. Candidates can visit the official website and download the seat allotment letter.

NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round-1

Candidates are required to fill up the registration form before the last date. Additionally, candidates must report to the allotted college on the due date.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round-2

The Round-2 NEET PG counselling is conducted for candidates who did not get any seats in the 1st round of counselling. Also, for the candidates who are not satisfied with the seat assigned in the first round and want to upgrade their seats can participate in the 2nd round.

After the second round of counselling (Provisional Result) would be released, candidates could download their final seat allotment letter from the official website for the NEET PG 2024. Counselling for round 2 would be online as candidates had to report to the institute on the date prescribed.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling - Mop-up Round

The NEET PG mop-up round of counselling will be conducted for-

• Candidates who did not attend the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling.
• Candidates who did not report to their respective institutes during the 1st and the 2nd rounds.
• Candidates who were not allotted seats in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

NEET PG 2024 Stray Vacancy Round

The pointers for participating in the Stray Vacancy Round are as follows.

• No New Registration/ Payment option for Online Stray Vacancy Round.
• No Fresh Choice Filling will be conducted for Online Stray Vacancy Round.
• The Choices exercised by candidates in the Mop-Up Round will be considered for allotment of seats for the Stray Vacancy Round.
• Allotment of seats ‘Online’ by running software.
• Eligible candidates who are not holding any seats can only participate in Online Stray Vacancy Round.

NEET PG Cut-Off Percentile

Scope of NEET PG 2024 Counselling

The seat matrix of the MCC NEET PG Counselling defines the number of seats which is available under each course or for specific category candidates. Aspirants must fill their choice so that they can get the colleges and courses as per their preference.

Every year the seat matrix changes based on seat availability in various colleges. The MCC implements NEET PG 2024 Counselling based on key points such as:

• Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS)
• All India Quota Seats of 50%
• Central & Deemed Institutes/Universities

NEET PG 2024 Counselling - State Quota Seats

Each state will declare its seats available for the state counselling quota. The process begins after NBE announces the official NEET results. 

• Through state quota, NEET PG counselling, 50% of seats in government colleges and 100% in private colleges in the state are filled.
• Respective state releases its counselling application form for state admission.
• However, candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria to participate in the counselling process. 
• Further, the counselling conducting authority will release the eligible candidates' NEET PG state merit list.
• Lastly, based on the choices filled by the candidates' NEET PG 2024 state rank, the seats for MD, MS, and PG diplomas will be released in the state.
