For admission to the MBBS program in 2024, candidates must have completed at least Class 12 with the required subjects of biology, chemistry, and physics.
Scope of Medical Industry
The medical industry is ever-growing with multiple job prospects, benefits, and tasks to do. Still, it doesn't discount the dedication, effort, and a sense of responsibility that it expects from its candidates. On top of that, India's global market value is cheaper than most countries, which means the costs involved in obtaining medical equipment and newer biotechnologies are lesser.
The medical exams after are not easy to ace, and hence you must ensure that you're aware of all the vital requirements and eligibility for it.
Eligibility Criteria For MBBS
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is the most familiar designation degree for doctors. MBBS is an undergraduate degree in the medical field. It takes 5.5 years to finish the course and obtain an MBBS degree.
If you were wondering, 'How to get admission into the MBBS program?', then these 2 criteria should put that question to rest:
- You'll need to complete your 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as your core subjects and score a minimum of either 50% if you're under the General category, or 40% if you're under the Reserved category, in your Class 12 final exams.
- You'll need to prepare hard for the medical entrance exam of your choice. This is no easy task since there are lakhs of students appearing for the exams already, so the competition you'd be dealing with is fierce.
