The Indian Institute of Science and Technology Engineering is located in Howrah, West Bengal, and was formed in 1856. It is certified by UGC, AICTE, and associated with the University of Calcutta, Kolkata.

The university offers 38 courses across four streams: engineering, IT, Science, and Management, and across six degrees such as B.Tech, and B.Tech+M.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA.
