BHU Placements 2023: Highest & Average Salary Package, Top Companies

BHU placements 2023 recorded some of the best placement statistics in the university's history. The university is yet to release the placement report for 2023. However, based on the NIRF report, 612 UG students and 1179 PG students were placed during the Banaras Hindu University placement drive of 2023.

Several reputed companies join the BHU placement drive to provide students with top-notch employment opportunities. Reputed companies like Adani Wilmar, Deloitte, S and P Global, Emami Agrotech Ltd., SBI Life, IBM, KPMG, Wipro, ICICI Bank, etc., are some of the BHU top recruiters.

BHU Placement Highlights 2023

BHU has successfully concluded the 2023 placement drive for all programs. The best BHU median package in 2023 is INR 16.00 LPA and was offered to 5-year UG program students. A total of 946 students from 2-year PG programs were placed in 2023 with a median package of INR 9.00 LPA. The university is yet to release placement data like BHU highest package, average package, etc.

BHU Salary Trend

The median package of 3-year UG and 4-year UG programs were recorded as INR 8.00 LPA and INR 8.50 LPA, respectively. Similarly, for 3-year PG program students, the median package was INR 13.50 LPA. BHU Placement Cell

BHU has a placement cell that aims to offer the best career opportunities to students. The placement cell at Banaras Hindu University acts as a bridge between the candidate, alumni, and recruiting companies. The placement cell focuses on developing soft skills and augmenting the technical ability of students. Placement training sessions like mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude training sessions, etc. are conducted by the BHU placement cell.

The placement cell organizes various workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, etc., to prepare students for final placements. The cell also conducts mandatory summer internship programs.

BHU Placement Process

The placement cell at Banaras Hindu University conducts annual placement drives. The step-by-step process for organizing the annual BHU placements is given below. 

• The placement cell at the university sends invitations to the recruiting organizations, or the recruiters contact the cell directly.
• The companies must fill out the Job Description form and send it back to the placement cell. The concerned departments/ schools will be intimated at the university accordingly.
• After consulting the companies, the training and placement cell decides and finalizes the date for pre-placement talks and recruitment processes.
• Recruiters then conduct the pre-placement talk and recruitment process online/ on-campus/ off-campus based on their convenience.
• Offer letters are issued by recruiters for students who have cleared the selection process.
