Clubs & Associations :
Every faculty holds their own club and society. Theatre groups, Rhetoric groups, and Management groups all are there. Every type of art is appreciated. Most famous within the campus are the Tarj-e-sukhan and Kalam for poetry recitation. Rangshala for theatre. Every year a cultural fest is organised where all faculties and affiliated colleges compete with each other. North-east fests are also organised. Kashiyatra is the fest of IIT BHU and is the most famous on the campus. Jubin nautiyal, Zalir khan, and Papon all have been invited to campus, and these types of shows are organised often.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
As a student appearing for bachelor of arts, I was relieved after seeing the eligibility with 50% aggregate in class 12th of the respective subject and the syllabus. The syllabus included nothing more than G. S, Reasoning, and current affairs. The admission procedure was quite simple. One had to attempt an entrance. Index marks decide the college one is enrolled on based on one's subject preference after counselling. Cut-offs have varied greatly in the last three years as the university now comes under CUCET. The best part of this university is the beautiful campus and various facilities it provides. It has a free bus service and free library (central and cyber as well) for 23hrs. Service is from 8 am to 5 am. Faculties here are outstanding. Classes are scheduled and run properly. It also provides NET/JRF coaching. It comes up with many diplomas, whether it is mountaineering or swimming or foreign languages or fine arts or performing arts or yoga and the list goes on. Altogether I had a fabulous and jovial experience here. It fulfils all the criteria for being a perfect university for students.
Placements & Internships :
Placements totally depend on the type, of course, you are pursuing. It doesn't ensure placements for Arts students, although one can access internships. IIT BHU has the best placements, followed by the Agricultural department. Other departments are not that good with placements.
Fees & Scholarships :
The fee is very much affordable. Especially for Arts students, it is 350 rupees every even semester and approx 1400 rupees every odd semester. Science students have an extra fee for practicals and lab management and other remains same. Scholarships are provided, but they are usually state government schemes.
Academics & Faculty :
BHU conducts 5 hours of class every day for undergraduate students. It varies according to the timetable, but the least is 3hours a day in a week. Professors teach in bilingual mode(including English and Hindi), keeping in mind that students from any background, whether it be state board or C. B. S. E or I. C. S. E board, can understand properly. They sometimes give a presentation in offline mode as well.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
University will give you royal feels with the tint of modernity. The buildings look like ancient temple architecture with all the modern facilities. Trees add great beauty to buildings. The campus has a Vishwanath Temple in the heart of it. Vishwanath temple is also a place where most of the students gather. There is no word which can describe BHU's beauty. It is simply amazing. Seasons do change, but their beauty of it keeps enhancing every second. It is outstanding and the most beautiful campus, one can say.
