GMRIT is located in the Srikakulam district's industrial town of Rajam. The GMRIT campus is 117 acres of luxuriant greenery. The GMR Institute of Technology campus is around 100 kilometers northwest of Visakhapatnam and only 18 kilometers from the nearest railway station on the Chennai-Howrah line, Chipurpalle.
