GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT), Srikakulam was established in 1997 by GMR Varalakshmi Foundation the corporate social responsibility arm of GMR Group, and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. GMRIT offers aspiring engineers high-quality technical education. The institute encourages collaborative learning between industry and academia as a means of reinforcing its curriculum with practical and real-world experiences.

The GMR Institute of Technology GMRIT’s Training, Placement, and Development Cell plays a critical role in networking graduating students with the industry. It prepares the students for the process of recruitment and simultaneously creates awareness among companies about the recruitment opportunities at GMRIT. Potential recruiters are given structural support for scheduling interviews, hosting seminars, group discussions, and written tests.
The placement cell also conducts the special corporate training program for final year students in resume building, group discussions, general knowledge, current affairs, Mock interviews are conducted by inviting HR Heads and Technical Experts from well-known companies.
