GMR Institute of Technology is an autonomous institute affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), Hyderabad. Located in Rajam, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, it was established in the year 1997 by GMR Lakshmi Foundation. The college offers the students with technical education about engineering. Courses Offered by GMRIT

GMRIT currently offers a number of engineering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. B.Tech program offered by the institute covers as many as 7 disciplines, while M. Tech degree is offered for as many as 6 specializations. All courses offered by GMRIT are accredited with “A” grade by NAAC. GMRIT Application Form 2024

Application forms for both the courses can be filled and submitted online through the respective application portals. GMRIT Fee Structure varies based on the course opted.

• Candidates applying for B. Tech programs are required to apply through Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).
• M.Tech candidates can apply with their GATE score. If a valid GATE score is not available, Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (APPGECET) candidates are given preference.
• All candidates must go through a counselling process conducted by the university/ institute as applicable.
• B. Tech candidates are selected based on the rank/ score in AP EAMCET, followed by a counselling session where seats are allotted according to merit.
• GATE score is mandatory for admission to any of the M. Tech. courses.

Entrance Exams Accepted by GMRIT

GMRIT B.Tech Admission 2024

The B.Tech courses are being designed to deliver knowledge and technical skills as well as to develop the students analytical, management, professional and academic skills and abilities. GMRIT offers B. Tech degree programs under its UG wing in 7 disciplines. For management quota, admissions are based on the marks obtained in graduation. For applicants from reserved categories, the minimum percentile in the last qualifying exam is relaxed by 5%.

GMRIT B.Tech Eligibility

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to any of the B. Tech programs are 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent in Science stream with a minimum aggregate percentile of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined. Candidates are required to apply through AP EAMCET and appear for the state-level entrance exam in order to be eligible for admission. Candidates are required to apply online by visiting the AP EAMCET website. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in AP EAMCET. The final list of selected candidates is announced only after completion of counselling conducted by the governing body.

• AP-EAMCET is an online test of 160 questions and 180 minutes duration
• 70% of the seats allotted are based on merit in AP-EAMCET
• 30% of the seats are allotted through Management Quota. 

GMRIT M.Tech Admissions 2024

GMRIT offers M. Tech in 6 different specializations. Once the candidate has successfully completed the process of taking up the entrance exam, they have to go through the concerned admission counselling process in order to secure a seat in the institution, based on their performance at the entrance tests and the marks scored in the concerned qualifying exams.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to any of these programs is a B.E./ B. Tech degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Candidates are further required to apply with a valid GATE score based on which selection is made. Candidates without GATE score are required to appear for AP PGECET.
