Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil:
University offers following Fields for M.Phil and at following Platforms:
(i) M.Phil. (English) at University School of Humanities & Social Sciences
(ii) M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology) at PGIMER & Dr RML Hospital
(iii) M.Phil. (Psychiatric Social Work) at PGIMER & Dr RML Hospital
M.Phil. (English) Eligibility:
- 50% of the Total Seats are reserved for those students who are M.A.(English and Communication) qualified in 2017 from University School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Merit List of these students will be prepared on the basis of CPI(cumulative performance index). There is no CET for these Candidates.
- 50% of seats are reserved for any candidate with M.A.(English) or equivalent degree from any UGC recognized University. These candidates shall have to appear in the CET conducted by the University.
- Seats of any of the above groups are interconvertible if remaining vacant.
M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology) Eligibility:
- M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology or equivalent from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate preferably with special paper in Clinical Psychology.
- After CET, an Interview will be conducted. 90% Marks weightage is from CET Exam and 10% Weightage is from Interview.
- Candidates with M.A. /M.Sc. degree by correspondence, part-time course or by distance education are not eligible for admission.
M.Phil. (Psychiatric Social Work) Eligibility:
- M.A. degree in Social Work from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential.
- Candidates with MA degree by correspondence course, part-time course or by distance education are not eligible.
- After CET, an Interview will be conducted. 90% Marks weightage is from CET Exam and 10% Weightage is from Interview.
Admission Procedure:
- The admissions to the M.Phil programmes in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) are through common entrance tests (CET) conducted by the University.
- The applicants must appear in the appropriate CET for admission. Only CET qualified applicants shall be considered for admission, through the University counselling, subject to fulfilment of eligibility and admission criteria.
- Applicants must appear in the CET conducted and the interview/practical. The absence in any part of the CET, practical, interview shall make the candidate ineligible for admissions.
