Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore is an Autonomous college and was established in 1998. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University. The college is approved by AICTE and Govt. of Tamil Nadu and has been accreditated by NAAC.

It has also been certified by ISO. The college was established by Hindustan Education and Charitable Trust. The Trust was founded in 1992 by the eminent Industrialist and Philanthropist, Shri T.S.R. Khannaiyann.

Hindustan College of Arts and Science follows the philosophy of permanent acquisition of knowledge. The college also follows the policy to impart value-based education and to unveil hidden potential in students that help them approach life with optimism. The main aim of the trust is to perform duties for the poor and adopt the poor children to offer them free education. 

Here are a few key highlights of the college:

HCAS presently has 250 teaching staff and 7400 students. It offers 23 UG programs and 15 PG programs, 3 diploma programs, and 10 research departments offering M.Phil and Ph.D. programs. The faculty members of all the depts are highly dedicated, committed and loyal facilitated by the philanthropic activities of the management. Hindustan College of Arts and Science Courses:

HCAS offers 18 UG and 13 PG and 13 Research programs. The faculty of all the departments are dedicated, competent, and well experienced. The MBA department has three batches with 180 strength. The courses offered by the college are:

Hindustan College of Arts and Science B.Sc Physics:

The dept was established in 2019 with 60 students in the UG program and 40 students in the PG program. The dept offers B.Sc Physics and M.Sc Physics. The dept has highly experienced and qualified teachers. The dept has a well-equipped laboratory with all the relevant equipment for both UG and PG programs.

Hindustan College of Arts and Science MBA:

The dept was started in 2005-06 and has been approved by AICTE and affiliated to Bharathiar University. It provides 180 seats for every academic year for an MBA. The dept also provides specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Media Management, Logistics Management, Production Management.

Hindustan College of Arts and Science Infrastructure:

The college provides the best to the students in terms of infrastructure facilities, academics, and placements. The campus is situated in the sprawling campus of 8.5 acres and has four blocks. The infrastructural facilities of the college are:

Library:

• The library at Hindustan College of Arts and Science is automated and has a collection of the latest books, CD/DVD, Periodicals, etc.
• The library facilities are OPAC, Audio-visual, photocopying, Open Access System, air-conditioned conference hall, digital library, gate entry monitoring system, etc.

Laboratory:

• The college has a state of the art laboratories, the labs are well-equipped to implement research programs.
• The dept of costume design and fashion has high tech labs for the practical like computerized sewing machines, equipment for teaching dyeing and block printings to the students.

• Hostels are situated within the campus of the college with 1500 students.

• There is a canteen inside the campus with separate rooms for students and staff.

• Hindustan College of Arts and Science Placement cell organizes grooming activities for students, these activities help student development and growth and make them confident in the final campus interview.
• The college has a placement cell, it focuses on the training of the students.
• Cell organizes various student development programs such as Aptitude tests, Snap tests, GDs, and Interviews.
• College tied up with Major Companies like CTS, Infosys, TCS, WIPRO, Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech, HP, DELL, Payoda, Info view, MuSigma, FORD, etc. for the necessary hiring process.
• In the year 2014-15, 401 Students got placed.

Hindustan College and Charitable Trust believe in providing education without thinking about money to needy students. On that concern, the college provides scholarships, fee concession, free seats to the students who are from backward areas with excellent academic records.

• Backward class welfare state scholarship for the students who belong to backward/most backward classes, if their parent's annual income doesn't exceed 50000/-
