The Nowrosjee Wadia College was established on July 21, 1932, within six months of the establishment of the Modern Education Society on February 15, 1932. True to Its credo ‘For the Spread of Light’, the college pioneered efforts to open the portals of higher education to the residents of eastern parts of Pune and pursued them tirelessly through the last eighty resplendent years. Over the years, it has become the first choice to acquire an all-round quality education for many promising young men and women all over the country and abroad. The matter of providing facilities for higher education in the eastern parts of Pune would have remained a distant dream had it not been for a group of prominent citizens in these parts and of devoted academicians in the city who clearly brought out to the public the need for a college in this part of the city.

NWC Admission 2024

Over the last several decades the Nowrosjee Wadia College has emerged as one of the pioneer liberal arts and science colleges in Western Maharashtra. It has many laurels to boast of -22 academic departments with many of them imparting post-graduate instruction, accreditation at ‘A’ level several illustrious alumni, and more than 6000 students on its roll. True to its cosmopolitan student community it attracts young people the world over. NWC UG Admission 2024

The college offers 2 UG courses. The courses are B.Sc, BA. The courses offer various specializations. The specializations in BA are English, Economics, History, Politics, Geography, Mathematics, and Psychology. The specializations in B.Sc are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, Geography, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science and Biotechnology.  B. Sc. Computer Science, B. Sc. Biotechnology are self-financing courses. B.Sc vocational courses are  Electronics Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Chemistry

NWC UG Eligibility

B. Sc. is a three-year full-time course. The minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in the science stream.  

B.A. is a three-year full-time course. The minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in any discipline. 

NWC PG Admission 2024

The college offers 3 PG courses. They are M.Tech, M.Sc, MA. The specializations in MA are Psychology, English, Economics, Geography. The specializations in M.Sc are Zoology, Petroleum Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Botany, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Polymer Science, Physical Chemistry, Geography, Electronics, Electronic Science. The M.Tech specializations in Industrial Mathematics with Computer Application and also Master of Computer Science ( M.Sc. Computer Science) formerly M.C.S.

NWC PG Eligibility

The college offers a 2 years MA, M.Sc, M.Tech courses. For M.Tech candidate should have a bachelor degree in B.Tech or B.Sc with 50% marks in relevant field from a recognized University. MA Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University. For M.sc, the candidate should have a bachelor degree or B.Sc with 50% marks in relevant field from a recognized University 

NWC Admission Form 2024

Nowrosjee Wadia College admission form 2024 is both online and offline. Students are expected to fill in the form completely, correctly, and upload scanned copies of all necessary documents before submitting the same. After filling up the admission form, the College Admission Committee will verify your admission form and approve it online. After approving the admission form, the student will get a notification on their registered mobile number and Email-Id. Such students are expected to pay the fees online from their login and complete admission formalities within two working days after receiving notification, failing which they will forfeit their claim to admission. The last date for filling Admission forms for Wadians and the Merit Form for Students other than Wadians (Non-Wadians), has been extended to 21st August 2024. • Click on Login and create a students ID
• After logging in, fill the application form fully and upload the necessary documents
• If the form gets approved/accepted by the admission committee, the student will get an SMS and notification on his mail within 3 days from the submission of his admission form. If a student doesn’t get any notification on Email ID or via SMS, he/she has to assume that the form is waitlisted. Waitlisted students will be contacted after one month for admission, a provided vacancy exists.
