Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune is one of the oldest colleges in Pune established back in July 21st, 1932, by the Modern Education Society. The college was established to provide education to children in the eastern part of Pune, which was devoid of any educational facilities at the period. Now around 7000 students from different parts of India and abroad are studying across the campus under different departments. 

The Nowrosjee Wadia College courses include Arts and Science courses. The college provides education to students ranging from higher secondary to postgraduate. The Physics, Geology, Geography and Chemistry students have the opportunity to do research at Nowrosjee Wadia College. 

The Nowrosjee Wadia College has a great infrastructure facility with amenities like laboratories, sports ground, hostels, canteen, library, gymnasium, auditorium and seminar halls.

The college offers co-curricular activities like NCC (National Cadets Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme). The college has an alumni association known as “Wadians Association” and conducts meetings twice every year on the College Foundation Day (July 21) and the Society Foundation Day (Feb15) and conduct different activities.

Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune has an “Earn and Learn” scheme for economically and socially backward students, where they could work in different departments and will be paid monthly so that they could meet their monthly expenses. This scheme helps them to understand and develop the work culture.

The College has a Louis Braille writers’ club, which has 60 members that help the blind students of the college to write the examinations every year.

There is a reading hall that could accommodate 300 students. The postgraduate library is placed in the postgraduate building and has a collection of 3000 books. There is also a small reading room in the library. Apart from these libraries, there are departmental libraries run by the respective post-graduate departments.

Canteen of Wadia College is one of the most popular places in the campus. The canteen has a spacious hall, with adequate seating capacity, for students to have food, to do works and assignments and to have loose talk with friends. The canteen of Nowrosjee Wadia College provides a different variety of meals, snacks and refreshments which are well prepared.

The gymnasium is associated with the sports centre of Wadia College. The college got a play area of around 10acres with separate grounds and courts for each sports and games. 

The campus has separate hostels for ladies and gents each having a capacity of 336 residents, that includes residents from all the institution of the campus.

Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune Hostel:

Wadia College, Pune has separate ladies and gents hostel within the campus. Both hostels are of 7floors and accommodate 336 residents each. The hostel is common for all the institution on the campus. The mess hall is provided in the facility building on the campus and there is a separate mess for ladies and gents.  The ladies and gents hostel have similar facilities. The facilities of the hostel includes parking for vehicles, access to college ground and gymnasium, security surveillance camera in the corridors, round the clock security, 2 lifts, hot water bath in all seasons, availability of doctor on all days for 3hours,free medicines, if student is busy with practicals or lectures the in house mess service will provide the food. There is an attached bathroom in every room and every room is provided with lights and fans. Each student will be given a bed, chair, study table, wardrobe and charging socket. There is availability of guest rooms and sick rooms in both the hostels.
