CSSET Eligibility Criteria 2023

  • Candidates who are willing to apply CSSET 2023 must satisfy all the criteria mentioned below
  • Pre-requisites: Candidates must have passed Shastri/B.A. (With Sanskrit) in 10+2+3 Scheme and/or M.A. (Sanskrit)/ Acharya or equivalent traditional degree from any University or recognized examining body having obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grade. OR The students who have passed Shastri/B.A. (With Sanskrit) Two-year course from any University or recognized examining body should have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate and or have passed Acharya Ist year /M.A. (Skt) Ist year/Setu (Bridge course)/Vidwanmadhyama/Vidwaduttama examination. For the eligibility of 50%, Shastri/B.A. (with Skt.) marks only will be considered.

  • Requisites for categories: The examination requires all candidates belonging to SC/ST/differently abled categories to have a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examinations to be eligible for CSSET #year.

  • Proof verification: The proof of having passed the qualifying examination should be presented for verification along with the application. In case the result is awaited, it must be submitted (declared or confidential) at the time of admission; otherwise, the application will be cancelled. 

  • Age Limit: All candidate seeking admissions to Shiksha Shastri Course must have completed 20 years of age on or before 1 st October 2023. No Age relaxation will be given to the candidates in this regard.

NOTE: For Jammu & Kashmir Candidates: The candidates who hold Degrees/ Diplomas/ Certificates from Institutes in Jammu and Kashmir State are eligible for service in Central Government and other States. The eligibility of these candidates will be governed by rules and regulations of the respective states/universities.
