JEXPO Counselling 2024 phase 1 seat allotment result has been released on Jul 3, 2024, and phase 2 on Jul 12, 2024. The 1st phase of the admission process will be conducted from Jul 1 - Jul 5, 2024. The 2nd phase of admission will be held from Jul 8 - Jul 12, 2024. JEXPO counselling 2024 schedule has been released on Jun 19, 2024. Candidates must submit the online choice filling by Jul 1, 2024. 

JEXPO 2024 counselling will be conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. The counselling process is based on the candidate's rank in the merit list, which is created based on the performance in JEXPO 2024.

Eligible candidates must register online to participate in the counselling process, and fill in their choices of college and courses, shortlisted candidates must confirm and report to the allotted colleges for document verification.

The JEXPO seat allotment and JEXPO counselling 2024 phases will be held in 3 rounds with a chance of a special round depending on the vacant seats available. The counselling process will be conducted online and the authorities will release the results and other related information on the official website.

The WBSCTE has begun onlineJEXPO Counselling 2024. Candidates can register for the JEXPO 2024 counselling on the official website, sctedved.wb.gov.in. The results of the JEXPO phase 1 seat allocation have been released by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE).

JEXPO counselling 2024 schedule has been released on Jun 19, 2024. Candidates who successfully secure the qualifying marks in the exam are eligible to move to the selection and admissions process under the JEXPO counselling 2024 procedure.

JEXPO 2024 Counselling Procedure

The JEXPO counselling process is an important part of the admission process. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to understand JEXPO counselling 2024 process.

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates must visit the official website and click on ‘New Registration’
  • Enter details such as enrollment number and index number
  • Once the candidate clicks on ‘Proceed’, an OTP will be sent to the registered number of the candidate
  • Use the OTP to access the candidate’s details
  • Once a candidate checks their details, they will have to create a password

Step 2: Login: Once the candidate registers, they will have to use their enrollment number and password to enter the choice-locking portal

Step 3: Choice Locking: Once a candidate accesses the choice locking section, they will have to follow these steps

  • Candidates will have to select their Institute-branch combination
  • Candidates will have to save their choices. Candidates can make edits to their choices but only until the last date
  • Candidates will then have to lock their choices and take a print out of their final choices

Step 4: Seat Allotment: The results of the seat allotment will be declared online, and sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number. Eligible candidates have the option of accepting their seats or opting for auto-up-gradation, however, up-gradation will only be allowed if the candidate gets their first prioritized seat.

Step 5: Printing the Allotment Letter: Once they accept the seat, candidates will have to take a printout of the allotment letter cum money receipt. In the case of up-gradation, they will have to take a printout of the provisional allotment letter cum money receipt.

Step 6: Provisional or Seat Booking Fee Payment: Candidates will have to pay a seat booking fee once they accept their seat. Candidates will have to pay an online payment of INR 500 through debit/ credit card/ net banking for their final seat booking. In the case of auto-up-gradation, the final seat booking fee will be INR 2000.

Step 7: Document Verification: Candidates with allotted seats will be required to report to the allotted institute for document verification. They will have to carry two copies of their final allotment letter along with all the required documents for the verification process. Candidates who opt for auto-upgradation need not report to the institute, and will instead have to wait for the next rounds of JEXPO counselling 2024.

Once JEXPO Counselling 2024 session has been conducted online for seat allotment, a special offline round will be conducted. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the previous rounds will not be allowed to sit for offline counselling.

Special Online JEXPO Counselling 2024

A special online JEXPO counselling 2024 will be conducted to fill the seats that are still vacant after JEXPO counselling 2024. However, students who have already been provided seats in the previous rounds of counselling will not be eligible for the special online counselling.

The allotment of seats in the special online JEXPO counselling 2024 round is on the basis of JEXPO Cut Off 2024.

Documents Required for JEXPO Counselling 2024

Candidates are requested to carry the following documents along with them during JEXPO Counselling 2024.

  • Admit card of Madhyamik or an equivalent examination (proof of age and district of schooling)
  • Qualifying exam marks sheet
  • JEXPO 2024 Admit Card
  • Category certificates (reservation & PwD status)
  • Two hard copy printouts of the allotment letter cum money receipt
  • Medical fitness certificate

The admissions counsel of JEXPO has made certain reservations for candidates from all categories. There are approximately 12,000 applicants who attempt the examination every year.
