Q: What is UPESMET eligibility criteria?

Candidates who wish to take the UPESMET must make sure they meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university in any field with at least 50% of the possible points. The candidate must have completed both Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% of the possible points. As long as they can submit the passing certificate at the time of admission, candidates in their last year of qualifying exams are also eligible for UPESMET. Candidates are excluded from taking the UPESMET exam if they hold CMAT, MAT, MAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC, and GMAT results from the same or prior year.

Q: Can I apply for admission to UPES through CAT?

Indeed, for admission to its MBA program, UPES accepts scores from national entrance exams such as the CAT, GMAT, and CUET PG. In order to get admitted, candidates who have not taken any of the MBA entrance exams must take the UPESMET exam. The UPESMET will not be administered to candidates who meet the cutoff scores for national level admission exams.

Q: Is it compulsory to appear for UPESMET for admission to MBA?

No, Attending UPESMET is not required in order to be admitted to UPES Dehradun's MBA program. Candidates would not be required to take UPESMET if they have a valid score on the CAT or GMAT. These applicants will be selected for further interviews based on their CAT or GMAT scores. However, a candidate may choose to take the UPESMET exam if they believe their CAT or GMAT score is insufficiently competitive. There will be several stages to UPESMET 2025. The registration process for UPESMET 2025 has started.

Q: Who conducts UPESMET exam?

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Dehradun administers the UPESMET test. The examination is administered at the university level. If a candidate has a valid score on another national MBA entrance exam, they will not need to take the UPESMET in order to be admitted to the MBA program offered by the UPES School of Business. The UPESMET exam is administered online by UPES.

Q: What is the application fee for UPESMET?

The application fee for UPESMET is INR 1350. Applicants must complete the online application form in order to be considered for admission to the UPES Business School's MBA program. Candidates must meet the required eligibility requirements and pay the UPESMET application fee in order to successfully submit their application and finish the registration procedure. Phase 1 online registration for UPESMET 2025 has begun. Every category has the same UPESMET application fee.

Minimum Marks	Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in class X, XII, and graduation.
XAT/ CAT and MAT/ CMAT Minimum Percentage	For MBA Port & Shipping Management/ Aviation Management/ Urban Infrastructure & Smart Cities/ Business Analytics/ MBA General Management with Specialization in HR/ Operations/ Marketing/ Finance, candidates should have a minimum of 70% in XAT/ CAT and a minimum of 75% in MAT/ CMAT. For MBA Oil & Gas Management/ Logistics & Supply Chain Management/ Power Management/ Energy Trading/ International Business candidates should have a Minimum CMAT/ MAT score of 80% and a minimum XAT/ CAT score of 75%. Note: NMAT score - Minimum required score will be updated after the declaration of NMAT result.
Final Year Candidates	Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for UPESMET 2025.
UPES Management Entrance Test	Candidates who have 50% in class 10, 12, and graduation but do not have the minimum XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT scores can seek admissions by taking UPES Management Entrance Test 2025.

UPESMET 2025 Application Form

UPESMET 2025 registrations for phase 1 have begun. The UPESMET application form 2025 deadline for phase 1 is January 21, 2025. The exam is administered through an online proctored manner. UPESMET is a university-level exam that is administered several times per year. UPES Dehradun administers the exam in a centrally proctored format; applicants can take the exam from any location.
