HP ePASS Scholarship

The HP ePASS scholarship portal is an online application dedicated to the students of Himachal Pradesh. They offer scholarship opportunities to students from class I belonging to reserved categories. The scholars will receive an HP ePASS scholarship amount of up to INR 75,000 per annum. The Department of Higher Education, under the state government of Himachal Pradesh, provides the service.The HP ePASS scholarship's last date for the Mukhya Mantri protsahan yojana available on the NSP portal. Besides Himachal Pradesh, the state government of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana provide ePASS scholarships for the benefit of the students.

List of HP ePASS Scholarship Schemes 

The state government of Himachal Pradesh has launched the HP ePASS scholarship portal for easy application and disbursement of scholarship amounts to its domiciles. Over 1,40,000 students benefit from the scholarship schemes every year. There are over 33 schemes available on the HP ePASS scholarship portal. The state government has broadly classified the HP ePASS scholarship schemes into three categories. They are: 

1. Centrally sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes
2. State-sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes
3. HP ePASS scholarship schemes for technical education 

Centrally Sponsored HP ePASS Scholarship 

There are 14 schemes under the centrally sponsored HP ePASS scholarship. The central government of India funds the schemes for deserving students, young girls and those belonging to the reserved categories such as SC/ST, OBC, EBC, DNT, PwD and minority categories. Students from class I and higher grades can apply to these schemes. The list of centrally sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes are as follows:

State-sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes 

The state government of Himachal Pradesh sponsors some of the HP ePASS scholarship schemes. The government provides over 16 scholarship schemes for its bonafide residents. Given below are the list of state-sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes:

Technical Education Sponsored HP ePASS Scholarship Schemes 

The Department of Technical Education (DTE) provides three schemes under the technical education sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes. The objective is to motivate students from weak financial backgrounds to pursue an education in engineering and technology courses. The scheme covers ITI, polytechnic, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The list of technical education sponsored HP ePASS scholarship 2023 schemes are as follows: 

1. ITI courses for SC, ST, OBC and general students
2. Polytechnic diploma programmes
3. Undergraduate and postgraduate in engineering level courses 

Application Process 

The candidates should ensure they meet the HP ePASS scholarship eligibility criteria before applying for the scheme. Students can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). However, the candidates who want to apply for the technical courses should visit the official department of technical education vocational and industrial training of Himachal Pradesh website. 

How to Apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)? 

Students can apply for the central sponsored and state-sponsored HP ePASS scholarship schemes through the NSP application. Candidates applying for the first time should register themselves by clicking on the new registration button available on the homepage. After registration, the applicants will receive their login credentials on their registered email ID. Students can log in with the credentials and submit their applications for the desired HP ePASS scholarship after uploading the required documents.

How to Apply on the HP ePASS Scholarship Portal? 

Students who want to obtain the benefits of the DTE sponsored HP ePASS scholarship 2023 schemes can apply through the official website. The stepwise application process are as follows: 

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official department of technical education vocational and industrial training, Himachal Pradesh portal. 

Step 2: They should click on the scholarship button available at the bottom of the homepage. 

Step 3: Next, the candidates applying for the first time should click on the scholarship form for fresh cases (ताजा मामलों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति प्रपत्र) and those renewing the scholarship should click on the scholarship form for renewal cases (नवीकरण के मामलों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति प्रपत्र) link. 

Step 4: The candidates should download the application form and duly fill in all the details.

Step 5: They should attach the supporting documents and get them attested by the head of the institution.
