Combined Counseling Board Scholarship
The Combined Counseling Board scholarship is conducted by the Combined Counseling Board of India, which aims to provide economic assistance to underprivileged applicants. The applicant must have scored at least 40-50% marks in their respective examinations.

Special Scholarship Scheme Ishan Uday for NER
The special scholarship scheme Ishan Uday for NER is available for the students of the North-Eastern region who have cleared their class 12th exams. The original purpose of this scholarship program is to encourage higher education and increase GER (Gross Enrollment Ratio) in the North-Eastern Regions and invite 10,000 new applications for scholarships every year. The applicant should secure admission in the following discipline (General degree/ Technical/ Professional/ Medical or Paramedical courses) from a recognized institute of India. The applicants' family income should not exceed INR 4,50,000 from all sources. Upon selection, the meritorious candidates will be given a scholarship amount of INR 5,400 per month.

Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children – Pre-Matric Scholarship
The Umbrella scheme for education of ST children-pre-matric scholarship is available to the meritorious students from the ST category and those studying in Class 9 and 10. To avail of the benefits of the scholarships for Meghalaya, candidates should belong to the backward parts of society. The Umbrella scholarship aims to help the candidates pursue higher education without any financial hurdles. The family income of the applicants should not surpass INR 2,00,000. In addition, the deserving candidates will receive rewards up to INR 1,000.

Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children – Post-Matric Scholarship
The Umbrella scheme for education of ST children - post-matric scholarship is available for the impoverished students belonging to ST categories. The domicile candidates of Meghalaya who have completed their post-matric levels (class 11 and above) or any higher education from a recognized university/board are eligible for this scholarship scheme. The applicants' family earnings should not surpass INR 2,50,000 per annum from all sources. The meritorious candidates will receive a Meghalaya scholarship of INR 1,600 per annum.

Meghalaya Border Areas Scholarship
The Meghalaya border areas scholarship is available for the inhabitants of Meghalaya belonging to the border area SC/ST communities and those pursuing post-matric studies. Candidates who have enrolled during the year are eligible. The scholarship aims to provide monetary help to the students who are domiciles of Meghalaya and who belong to backward communities. The candidates applying for this scholarship must be studying in a recognized institution.

DBT-Research Associateship in Biotechnology and Applied Biology
The DBT- research associateship in biotechnology and applied biology (North-East Region) is an initiative undertaken for the candidates who hold a Ph.D.degree in science, engineering, or M.D./M.S. degree in any area of medicine. The program's primary objective is to train and nurture young scientists, generate a bio-tech-based environment, and facilitate various opportunities for aspiring students. To qualify for this scholarship scheme, the candidate's age should not exceed 40 years (in the case of women candidates, 45 years is accepted). Various rewards will be awarded to the meritorious applicants.

Free Studentship Scholarship
The Free Studentship scholarship is put forth by the Meghalaya State Government (Ministry of Social Justice and Welfare) ST & SC Development and Minority & Other Backward Classes Welfare Department to provide monetary support to the domiciles of Meghalaya and belonging to the SC/ST Community. The program's primary purpose is to motivate students from the SC/ST community to apply for Meghalaya scholarships. The deserving meritorious candidates will be given a maximum amount of INR 2,235 per annum.

The Book Grant scholarship for scheduled tribes is an initiative for students pursuing higher studies from class 11 to post-graduation level, excluding (vocational, engineering, medical and paramedical courses). This scholarship program incorporates Meghalaya scholarships and provides financial aid to the SC/ST category students. The applicants who have secured 60% marks and above in the last examination can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship amount of up to INR 1,500 per annum will be presented to the deserving students.

Pre-Matric Scholarship
The Pre-matric scholarship is introduced for students in Class 10 and 12. The foremost objective of the scholarship scheme is to give financial security to the SC/ST and general category students. The students should secure a good score in classes 10 and 12 (MBOSE, ICSE &CBSE). The applicants' family earnings should not exceed INR 1,00,000 per annum. The selected meritorious students will get multiple allowances of INR 600 per month.

State Matric Scholarship
The state matric scholarship is an initiative for students in Class 10 and above and aims to provide monetary help to the general category students. The regular students in the class are also eligible to apply for this scholarship program. The candidates interested in applying must study in recognized schools & colleges of Meghalaya. The selected students will get multiple allowances INR 1000 per month.
