If two or more applicants get equal scores, their merit rank will be determined by the following factors in the following order of significance.

• Marks Obtained in Biology: Candidates who scored higher marks in the exam's biology section—which also includes botany and zoology—will be given significant precedence over those who did not.
• Marks Obtained in Chemistry: The candidate with the better Chemistry score will be given preference over those with lower scores if the aforementioned standards are not met.
• Number of Wrong Answers: If there is a tie after accounting for both of the aforementioned factors, the candidate with the fewest wrong answers will be given preference over those who have more.
• Age Factor: The older applicant will be given preference over the younger ones if there is a tie in the NEET 2024 passing marks.
