NEET SS 2024 seat matrix is released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in, entails the available seats in each category and speciality, along with participating institutes. NEET SS (Super Specialty) is the entrance exam for Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch), and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses.

The MCC website will continuously update the seat matrix for each round of NEET SS 2024 counselling. During counselling, applicants must select their preferred courses and colleges based on this matrix. NEET SS 2024 Seat Allotment 

NEET SS 2024 seat allotment process will commence once candidates have submitted their choices, and it will be based on factors like seat availability, reservation policies, and exam ranks. NEET SS 2024 results will be accessible in PDF format on the official website. The DGHS will oversee the seat allotment for both counselling rounds. 

After the results are declared, MCC will release a list of shortlisted candidates along with the allotment letter. Applicants can download the NEET SS 2024 seat allotment PDF by logging in with their credentials. 

The seat allotment letter will contain essential information, such as: 

  • Candidate's Name
  • Rank Obtained in the Exam
  • Allotted Course and Institute 
  • Reporting Date and Time for the allotted college.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET SS 2024

The eligibility criteria for NEET SS 2024 as per the National Board of Examination (NBE) are as follows:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a recognized postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective speciality as per the concerned Super Speciality course they are applying for.
  • Registration: Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council.
  • Internship: Candidates should have completed their mandatory rotational internship on or before the cutoff date specified by the conducting authority.
  • Experience: Candidates must have completed three years of post-MD/MS/DNB residency training in the respective speciality, as per the concerned Super Speciality course.
  • Provisional Registration: If candidates are pursuing the MD/MS/DNB course and have not completed their degree or internship at the time of the NEET SS application, they can still appear for the exam. However, they must submit their permanent registration certificate before the counselling process begins.
  • Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to apply for NEET SS 2024.

NOTE: Foreign Nationals planning to take the NEET SS exam are not required to register with the MCI (Medical Council of India). Instead, they can pay the NEET SS registration fees, and the MCI may grant them temporary registration specifically for the duration of their post-doctoral course at the medical college or institute where they are admitted to pursue the postdoctoral program.

NEET SS Cutoff 2024

NEET SS 2024 cut off scores will be available on the official website. Candidates who meet the NEET SS 2024 cut off criteria will receive a call letter to participate in the counselling rounds. The cut off for NEET SS 2024 will be presented in the form of a qualifying percentile, rather than specific marks obtained.

NEET SS 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case of a tie in NEET SS 2024 exam scores, the following criteria will be used to determine the rank order:

  • Candidates with fewer incorrect answers in the NEET SS 2024 exam will be ranked higher in the rank list.
  • If the first criterion does not resolve the tie, the candidate who has obtained more marks in Section B of the NEET SS exam will be given a higher rank.
  • In case the marks in Section B are also the same for the candidates, the accuracy (fewer incorrect answers) will be considered, and the candidate with higher accuracy will be ranked above.
  • If none of the above criteria break the tie, then the candidate who is older in age will be given a higher rank in the NEET SS rank list.

Documents Required for NEET SS Counselling

The following documents are required for the NEET SS 2020 admission process:

  • Provisional Allotment Letter issued by MCC
  • Admit Card issued by NBE
  • Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE
  • MBBS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate.
  • MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate in the relevant Specialty.
  • Permanent Registration Certificate of MBBS/MS/DNB issued by MCI or NBE/State Medical Council. Candidates completing post-graduation by July 31, 2020, can apply with a provisional certificate.
  • High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  • Candidates allotted seats must carry one identification proof (ID Proof) mentioned in the NEET SS 2020 information Bulletin (PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhar Card) to the allotted college during the admission process.
