SSUHS was established in 2009 under "The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Science Act, 2007". The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. Admission 2024 is ongoing. Admission to courses is made based on merit, and the marks obtained in entrance exams Like NEET and AIPGET are conducted at state and national levels.

The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences is the only Health University in the North Eastern Region with jurisdiction over Assam. As the University is located in Guwahati, it is well connected by Air, Rail, and Surface Transport.

SSUHS Admission

SSUHS admission 2024 is ongoing. Admission to courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, MBBS, and BAMS is made based on merit and the marks obtained in entrance exams Like NEET and AAIPGET conducted at state and national levels. Once the candidates crack the examination, they must appear for an Interview. Those candidates who have secured 50% of marks and above on the entrance are only eligible for the interview.

SSUHS Eligibility Criteria

SSUHS has established different admission criteria for various courses. To be admitted to the University, students must meet that criterion. The following are the basic requirements for some systems.

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognized board in the chosen subject.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 12th with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as Major Subjects securing at least 55% to 60% Marks in aggregate.
• Candidates must have valid NEET scores.

• Candidates should have a Master's Degree or Equivalent Professional Degree from the recognized University with at least securing 55% Marks in total.

SSUHS Cutoff

SSUHS cutoff 2022 has been released. A minimum SSUHS cutoff score of 15363rd rank is essential in the NEET Entrance Exam for the MBBS program for 2022 admissions for the general category students. The accepted entrance exams are NEET, NEET PG, AIAPGET, NEET MDS, AYUSH,AP NEET, etc. Therefore, students seeking admission to this University must meet the cutoff criteria and secure good marks in the accepted exams.

SSUHS Result

SSUHS result 2022 for the B.Sc., B.Opt., Diploma, and Certificate Annual Examinations has been declared on the result portal. Candidate must achieve a minimum passing score on the SSUHS semester exam to pass. Student can check their SSUHS result on the university's official website. The only applicants who will be promoted to the following semester without backlogs are those who passed the exam.

SSUHS Placements

SSUHS placements are pretty good as there is around an 80% chance that students will be placed if they participate in Campus Placement.

• The average Salary for the UG Course is ranged somewhere between INR 3.0 LPA to 4.2 LPA 
• For PG Course, it ranges somewhere between INR 3.6 LPA to INR 6.0 LPA.

SSUHS Scholarships

Srimanta Sankaradeva University has provided a scholarship amount to those students who scored good marks in the University, and a well-deserving student will get the amount of scholarship from the University.

The State Government also assists those students who cannot pay the fees through various schemes. Generally, it is based on the student's performance in the last examination result.
