NEET qualification codes 2024, released by the National Testing Agency, determine a candidate's eligibility for the NEET 2024 exam. While filling out the NEET 2024 application form, candidates are required to choose the relevant qualifying code for NEET. Aspirants should also submit their full information and proper documents in order to clear the NEET eligibility.
What is NEET Qualification Code?
NEET stands for the “National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test”, formerly known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is a national-level examination at an undergraduate level conducted by the NTA i.e. ‘National Testing Agency’ established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) for the MBBS/BDS admissions in approved Medical/Dental education platforms/institutions in India.
Students appearing for the NEET are directed to select NEET Qualification Codes 2024 with respect to eligibility criteria and education qualification. Each qualifying exam code for NEET 2024 determines a condition of eligibility criteria, and students falling under that code can fill out the application and appear for the exam.
For example, Students of B.Sc 1st year or similar course of 3-year degree can fill for the qualification code 05 only, as per the eligibility criteria.

NEET Qualification Codes 2024
There are various NEET qualification codes 2024 for the aspirants, as cited with respect to the NTA guidelines for the NEET exam. A candidate must ensure the right examination criteria code as given below.
NEET Qualifying Exam Code 01: Those candidates who are appearing for the 12th standard exam
For aspirants who are appearing for the 12th standard exams, the progress report awaited in 2024 is only applicable to occupy a seat in MBBS or BDS programs. But, one should clear up to the 12th class with the eligible count percentage during the counselling.

NEET Qualifying Exam Code 02: Cleared 12th standard, not taken admission further
It is also called the NEET code for droppers 2024. Any aspirant who cleared higher secondary/senior secondary level of examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination that is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/senior secondary examination after a timespan of studies of 12 years.
It must be noted deliberately that applying for these exams, one should pass examinations with the combination of PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology) with practice tests on the external conduct, with other elective subjects such as Mathematics, Computer science, English at a certain level that is prescribed by the NCERT after briefing 10+2+3 syllabus suggested as per National Committee of Education.

It is an absolutely mandatory step for every applicant to cover up 2 years of constant and spontaneous PCB courses at the secondary level (10+2). Also, the 12th standard passing candidates deriving from State Open School/Institution, NIOS, wherein the private aspirants remain disapproval for NEET (UG) exam test.
Notably, keeping the study of the additional subjects at the 10+2 level as additional subjects (Biology or Biotechnology) is not encouraged.
For any courses which fail to get prescribed within the premises of the National Committee educational curriculum for 10+2, those candidates will first summon a one-year duration of pre-professional training before entering into the medical institution or related background.

NEET Qualification Exam Code 03: PUC Science Graduate (12th Class)
Unquestionably, those students have cleared their pre-degree examination or intermediate qualification examination from a science domain belonging to a certified examining committee, Indian University, or any Indian Board. A student should possess Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with conduct practical lessons in the mentioned (three) subjects, apart from English which is mandatory.
NEET Qualification Exam Code 04: 12th Class Graduate, Pre-Medical Course/Pre-Professional Tests
Candidates clearing Pre-professional or pre-medical level exams with PCB having practical test conduct can use this code order with English as a mandatory subject after Pre-University or equivalent or higher secondary examinations.

NEET Qualification Code 05: Admitted to 1st year of B.Sc Degree (Graduation Degree or 3-Year Degree)
Students who are participating in the 1st year B.Sc degree (3-year course) under a well-certified institution with PCB and practical conduct in the three subjects following the structure university examination level. The students should pass earlier examinations with PCB with English as mandatory at a certain level equivalently.
NEET Qualification Code 06: Graduates (B.Sc Exams with PCB combination)
The candidates should first achieve the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Aspirants must have completed the B.Sc degree examination from an Indian University and possessed two of the subjects PCB- (Botany, Zoology) or Biotechnology.

NEET Qualification Code 07: Aspirants from any other board (another country) similar to that of the Indian education system (10+2)
On the entirety of the system, these aspirants participating in any kind of various examination following the guidelines equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination or Indian Board, proceeding with PCB combination( Previous 2 years of 10+2 course with PCB, practical performance on the given subjects), practical tests on the listed three subjects with English as mandatory subjects.
Some of the factors are -
- A student should have successfully completed the coursework in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English in a single notation.
- He/She must've scored at least 50% marks overall in the qualifying exam. A candidate must clear the exam and fall on the merit list.
- The ST/SC/OBC candidates have to maintain a minimum of 40% marks overall
- For the PwD aspirants, a minimum of 45% in the overall given subjects are required
The NEET qualification code 7 is also applicable for foreign candidates with a degree equivalent to 12th grade or PUC. It will be determined by the Association of India (AIU), which will convert the marks into the Indian grade system.
So, to get into competitive entrance examinations, one must follow this code order. Aspirants should qualify for any of the examinations explained above. This applies to candidates participating in 2024 qualifying exam tests as well.

NEET Eligibility Criteria for the Qualifying Examination
Apart from the educational eligibility criteria, there are three other important NEET Eligibility Criteria 2024 one needs to fulfil:
- The minimum age of the candidates appearing in the exam should be 17, and there is no upper age limit for NEET-UG.
- Anyone willing to appear for MBBS/BDS exam must be an Indian citizen, NRIs, OCIs, PIO, and Foreign national.
- One can attempt NEET any number of times.
- Moreover, it is mandatory for candidates to qualify for the Class 12 examination with an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) for the general category.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC must secure a minimum of 40%, while Persons with disabilities (PwD) must obtain 45% only.
